Actually shocked this is running natively on PC. Lots to fix but it hits 60 FPS better than PCSX2 in parts now. Enjoy the worst moment from this game

Funny to see a PS2 game reporting 75 FPS. It's actually hitting 60 in some spots but it's being BAMBOOZLED by clock speeds and such.

24: The Game with a debug overlay showing FPS: 75.84

that said, 24: The Game has never looked better. or worse. or anything.

A very fucked up screenshot that kinda looks like 24 The Game.

looking at debug symbols for a PS2 game and all the HUD ones are prefixed with "CHUD". i can't take this seriously.

Bullied AI to make a Maya ASCII parser directly since I didn't wanna get Maya.

Found some more JAZ drives in the archive. One includes Iron Giant posed with a car. Attempted to port the shaders to Blender, however not all of them were super close to the movie. Here's my attempt at getting something accurate using all of the files and slight edits for accuracy.

A wireframe in Blender of the same image.

Found one JAZ drive that has in production CG stuff for the Val Kilmer movie Red Planet. Next to some of the Red Planet stuff is this Mobil station render.

Going over more of these JAZ drives. Another one seems to have raw EPS files for The Camera Shop ads circa 1997

Terrible TV @terribletv.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Apparently there's a HUGE backup of JAZ drives that were recently put on the Internet Archive. One of them (at least) includes the original Maya 3D models used in the The Iron Giant.

Thinking more about Primetime and the way it captures the late 2000s look. Hard to describe tbh, the current popular "Frutiger Aero" look is not that feeling the era had. Primetime just gets it with vibrant primary colors, raised black levels, wood tones??? No idea but it fits that era well.

Made a VRChat world finally. Times Square from Gran Turismo 4. Direct port! vrchat.com/home/launch?... Original reflections and moving textures replicated as best I could. Apparently people have to visit it to make it public, so, please do!

I've now added Gameboy Color and Saturn scrapes. Some reviews also seem to have been lost to time on the modern web, like Battletanx was moved to Gamespot in the mid 2000s as having no score with it defaulting to "abysmal". Now it's 5.9 once again! jorkin.wang/gbc.html jorkin.wang/saturn.html

Oh I know, officially though via the TV Archive? There's at least content from March 2001 for some channels I've been able to find. Really nice quality.

Terrible TV @terribletv.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Good time to remind people that the Internet Archive recorded tons of cable channels in 2012 for about 2 weeks including G4, ESPN, E!, etc. for about 2 weeks and it's just sitting on their servers unlisted for staff only Collections exist with metadata for all of them archive.org/details/TV-G...

Content from G4. The content in this collection is archived for research, educational and informational purposes.
