The major gift will support five archaeological expeditions around the world as well as educational programming for K-12 students in Michigan.

My personal favorite Renfrew anecdote: at the SAA 75th Antiquity anniversary party, fending off hotel security that was trying to prevent him from pouring generous shots of Jesus College whisky. May the topsoil be light on him.

Was delighted to be recently invited to the 2024 Larissa Bonfante workshop, whose theme was Shaping Spaces. bonfanteworkshop.org/2023-2024/ My paper was on "Zoning decisions in early central Italian urbanism". I tried to reflect in a non-teleological way on how areas were defined in early cities.
