Yes! And when you smile at him anytime after that, his rays subconsciously twitch or shake because he wants more pets but he also knows the look you gave him and it flusters him just enough to where he goes to the next task to distract himself. He’s not used to being comforted by gentle touches.

What about touching his rays thinking that it’s like petting. He seems to have a positive reaction to the gentle touches as well, but never really asks you to. Yet, you do notice when he leans into your touch. Gentle touches are different and somehow soothing, but he would never admit it.
