Cancelling stream tonight. I'm wiped out from work and fixing home appliances so I'm gonna take tonight to relax and work on some personal projects. I'll see you all Tuesday for more Deltarune.

So my friends and I were gonna make videos on Deltarune. But you know, YT hasn't really been working out so we're just gonna stream it! We're going through all 5 chapters and the weird route later! Starting chapter 1 tonight! www.twitch.tv/themightyblues

I'm starting a new art trend for myself where whatever game I beat on stream, I make fanart of. Since I beat Transformers Devastation this week, I did my best to draw Optimus Prime! NGL I've always wanted to learn how to draw mech style characters and this was fun! #transformers #fanart

I've rarely drawn Asul with her sword but it's so fun to. Not sure how I feel about the posing but it was fun to experiment given I'm so out of practice.

I think this video has been an eye opening experience. I think that social media is moving in a direction that I need to step away from. I need to find more offline things to do, and whatever I do online boils down to slop that everyone else is doing. Like streaming.

000

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Modern YT is built in a way that discourages creativity and community. I grew up with this platform. I love it. It hurts to make something that checks off all the boxes the platform expects, only to be told "it's evergreen! Either accept that no one will watch or make slop". Maybe I will make slop.

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

The bot also confirmed that YouTube did not push my video as much as it could have. At this point I don't know what I should do with myself creatively. I love video editing, but it feels like YouTube lost the "You" part a long time ago. I just wanna make what I want and feel fulfilled.

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Basically the response I got was "this video is evergreen. No one wants to watch a video essay on EarthBound. Have you considered making ragebait or drama content?" Like, I know that already. But I've been making videos with the mindset that as long as it's well made, it will succeed. I was wrong.

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I was so desperate to find out why this video bombed because my analytics showed positive results. It has high watch times, and was a 1/10 on launch. So why did it fail in the algorithm? Well, I gave in and asked the only option a miniscule channel like me has... I used YT's awful AI bot...

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

So I've been feeling a little lost after this video's release. This was a passion project that took over 2 months of work, and I was confident in it's ability to perform better than it did. I wasn't expecting millions or even thousands of views. But I was expecting better than it did.

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

So Retroarch completely borked my entire setup and I had to restart my PC. I'm going to do some backend testing and updates and if I can get things working, I might either start with LEGO Indiana Jones next work or even tomorrow if I'm in the mood.

Rendering has begun. The video itself is complete. I'm still aiming for an October release as I'll be working on peer reviews and thumbnail artwork before I hit publish.

000

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Now my goal is to have it done by no later than end of October, as I have a trip planned around that time. Shouldn't be too much of an issue. After this video releases, I'll be taking a bit of time to work on a video for my gaming channel.

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I'm about halfway through editing my next video. It's too early to confirm a release date unfortunately. My initial goal was to release it by mid-September, but I had to take a break for about a week to work on revamping my recording setup.

I absolutely adore Mono's new design in XC2. I love that Shion's AI robot was incorporated into her weapon too. I was already anticipating returning to XC2 given I haven't played the game in years compared to the other Xenoblade games, but this just solidified my excitement!

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

The bosses were some of the best parts of the game too, with the Astral Orrey and final bosses being my favorites. I got massive Yakuza vibes with the final boss in particular, which is funny to say given this game is very gothic in its themes.

I beat Mina the Hollower. Easily my game of the year. This game is hard, but does it feel so rewarding. The game essentially gave Link's Awakening Speed and tightened the gameplay so hard, no death felt cheap. And I died almost 100 times in my run!

My newest video is up. I made a video essay discussing Jax and his struggles with identity, and how Jax never cracked his egg. I do so by explaining a lot of the internalized transphobia an egg can go through, especially if you come from a broken home. youtu.be/7eceFsqo5Ds

Decided to create a new channel to post anything I decide to make that's not strictly gaming content. The Jax video will be going on this new channel. I figured a video essay had a better chance in the algorithm on a fresh account. youtube.com/@terras-stuf...

Heya! I'm Terra/Blues. I've been making gaming content on YouTube since 2015, but I figured I'd shake things up and try some new stuff! That's what this channel is for. I'm just gonna post whateve...

020

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

I still plan to make gaming content. I have a Deltarune video in the works as well as a possible RV There Yet collab with friends. But I think I want the gaming content to be more laid back and chill compared to my essays. Assuming I will commit to making more. I honestly have no idea.

010

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

I really want to make a video on EarthBound that highlights the localization and struggles the development team had with both Mother 2 and 3. I wanna make a video on Xenosaga and its direct connections to Gnosticism. Stuff I originally conceived as Let's Plays. But now I'm reconsidering.....

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

Sure it's more work on the creator, but that work is the reward itself! I could just be over hyping myself, but working on this Jax video has lead me to looking at other projects I've shelved for years and consider revising them as a video essay instead of an LP:

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

But at the same time, I can cover a 100+ hour JRPG that I love in a video essay and still talk about everything that I want to in a concise and appealing way. Why force your audience to watch a full LP when they can watch a 1 hour video that covers the same topics?

100

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

As I prepare to release my first video essay onto YouTube, I get excited at the prospects of what this could mean for me creativity in the topics I've been wanting to discuss online for so long: JRPGs LPs and streams of JRPGS don't perform well due to long term commitment needed by the audience.

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

It's finally done. The Jax video is done. I have some art assets I need to complete before I render, but this will be coming out sometime next week! I plan to upload this to a fresh channel as I don't think a video essay is best uploaded on a 10+ year old gaming channel. I'll share more info soon.

It was interesting watching this with my boyfriend, because I had to explain why a lot of the suspense was so nerve-wracking. I don't blame him for not understanding; He's never gone through gender dysphoria before. Between this and TADC's finale, I think I'm ready for a happy trans story please.

Terra - Blues 🏳️‍⚧️ @terrablues.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I watched "I Saw The TV Glow" I knew going in that the horror comes from the cautionary tale of a trans woman not accepting her identity and submitting to the melancholy of life, and this movie nailed it. I'm trans and the suspense and imagery made me super uncomfortable. I'm glad I transitioned.
