Oh yeah that's why I mentioned that folders are exempt from this. The way chapters / stories are set up has changed fundamentally between site versions and folders shouldn't be used for chapter grouping anymore

I don't quite understand, this feature still exists - it hasn't changed. You can still modify the order by dragging the chapters in the sidebar of the editor. You don't have to add them in order

Also, the downtime had nothing to do with the update of the site other than the fact it forced us to sunset SF2. SFX wasn't ready, no, and I never claimed it was, but there was no other option and our hands were tied unfortunately.

But you can - this feature was extended massively from SF2 actually. You can change the chapter order in the submission editor, unless you mean within folders

I think that is a very valid point. You can just click on the bottom bar to immediately reveal them, but I might've underestimated the friction that creates for some people

The description should be more of a synopsis so people can know what the story is about very quickly since there's always very limited space on browse pages - so "wasting" that space with content warnings seems very counter-productive for discoverability.

The thing is people used the fields we provide in very different ways, it's the struggle of wanting to make things better from the YS / SF2 days but also having to still support these old stories. Content warnings should be covered by the tags / tag blacklist -

We're always open for suggestions and have implemented an insane amount of user feedback - always have. Nothing is set in stone, that's also the reason we still kept the "beta" label. The frontpage is far from final and will still receive updates just like many other parts of the site

May I ask why you wouldn't simply let us know of that including whatever other things you want to note in a report on the site instead of complaining on social media? I get it's frustrating sometimes, but believe me when I say we're doing as much as we can given the circumstances

That's... very interesting. I had never considered the need for any "warning" at the top of a story, and the description is not really the space for something like that either. Could you maybe describe to me a little why that's an issue? I'd be curious if there's a better way

The multi content system - specifically for chapters - will receive some big updates still. It's simply a matter of not having been able to complete everything in time, but they'll behave more in a way that people expect instead of right now being a fairly simple addition to the uploads

The choice to go with Rust for the BE isn't something that we've finalised yet, current focus is FE work. Trying to choose language based on possible contributors doesn't work unfortunately. It bit us with SFX where staying with PHP for this reason hasn't helped and the DX sucks. It's just not fun
