bsky's character limit is so infuriatingly small oh my fucking god

000

(6/6) - The little shot of Jax while Ragatha's talking about Kaufmo's funeral is neat (the facial expressions in this show are so good bro) - This is so much better than the pilot and I think it's redeemed my faith that the rest of the show will hold up on rewatch - 9/10

100

(5/6) - Gummigoo is genuinely a compelling and good character and also probably the first recorded instance of a TADC character being flattened by the fandom to remove most of their interesting traits for the purposes of shipping (in this case mostly with Pomni)

100

(4/6) - Jax's head remaining completely stationary while everyone else gets thrown around is still a very good bit - Gasp! Actual good psychological horror! - The Fudge is funny - Lizzie Freeman has immediately redeemed her voice acting abilities as Pomni

100

(3/6) - I find it really funny in retrospect that Ragatha was friendly enough with every female NPC in the show that she's shipped with literally all of them - Jax is very entertaining in this episode - I like all the crocodile guys very much - PIZZA TOWER REFERENCE LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOO

110

(2/6) - "No thanks, I'm tryna quit" Still a banger joke two years later - The NPCs Caine created refer to him as God. Episode 8 didn't pull that shit out of nowhere, this mf definitely had a complex - Kinger going up stairs is really funny and idk how I didn't notice that before

100

TADC rewatch in preparation for the finale: Episode 2 (1/6) - The animation and writing are both significantly better than the pilot - Ragatha is still set up to be more of a main character than Jax - "Our entire existence is larping" is unintentionally funny now

100

Pilot (3/3) - "One of the few things I don't have control over are your minds" hahahahahaHAHhAhAHAhAhaHAHAA - Definitely not amazing looking back at it now, but it works just fine for what it is - 7/10

000

Pilot (2/3) - Ragatha was definitely set up to be more central to the plot / have more of a relationship with Pomni than she actually did - Kinger's rambling about eating in the circus turned out to be foreshadowing for him being smarter than he looks, which is cool

100

Pilot (1/3) - The jump in animation quality from this to everything else is genuinely ridiculous - The writing in this is quite a lot weaker compared to future episodes if I'm honest - Caine and Kinger are the best characters - Lizzie Freeman got way better at voicing Pomni after this episode
