This is less about the trees and more about the people who have enjoyed the use of Hains Point for decades, Washingtonians, a majority of whom are Black. It's a course for everyone, and it's only a "dump" in the eyes of people who think golf is only for a certain class of people.

It's currently a golf course that's been used by the citizens of DC, many of them Black, for a very long time. It needs to be returned to that use. The bike paths and picnic areas on the rest of Hains Point must be returned to the people.

My theory is that he believes there should be a Trump dynasty that's bigly better than the Kennedy dynasty, notwithstanding the Trump clan's utter lack of taste, thoughtfulness, and intelligence. Erasing the Kennedys (other than his pet weirdo, RFK Jr) is one of his obsessive glitches.
