The idea was for the helmet to be quite damaged, shot and melted. Kinda convey this danger of Raven Beak This is a part of a bigger commission I did some years back, with the theme of Forebearer Rivals, precursors vs armored heroes

You kinda have to make up your own internal logic to keep the style consistent in the long run, referencing and copying only takes you some of the way there.

Yeah! Figuring out how to do things without solid outlines teaches you about Gestalt principles, even if you don't realize it

Every now and then, here and there, there's a post basically complaining that people are inspired and try to draw in the style of Yoji Shinkawa. Either bc copying or bc they are not as good as Shinkawa or whatever. How are you bothered by artists experimenting and having fun?

This is the way I find out "poser" is a bastardization of the actual word.

Sure, whatever. I just personally think it's disrespectful towards actual LARPers, who make their clothes, travel to the game areas and immerse themselves in their roles. People who actually fill the definition of Live-Action Role Playing.

Yeah! The coat blowing up and revealing a mountain of muscle and mutated flesh is a big part of the appeal for me

Very good suggestions! I need to just figure out what kinda virus/parasite/mold would fit them.
