So I started the Half Century Project as I'm calling it, today. I've already broken out the hammer and chisel. Plus I nearly fried my wet saw's motor on this dense rock! Looks like I'll be going really old school (think ancient) to finish the rock portion of this! #art #sculpture #bdaygift

Overview of breaking the large, dense quartzite into usable pieces. Had to break out the hammer and chisel prior to slabbing, and the large one still tried to fry my wet saw! But done worry, everything will work out just fine.

So sometimes you pick something up. A rock. You have no idea why, but you know you should. And then after a time, you realize what to do with it. This one is going to be transformed into a mosaic of memories and life events for someone's half century mark. Wish me luck! #art #carving #mosaic

Warmed up enough to do a wee bit of carving, so I pulled out the quartz I've been working on. Originally the thought was to represent fire with the finished project, but now I'm not so sure. Water seems to be making more of an appearance. Will have to wait and see. #carving #art #elements

So worked with some copper today. Some things didn't work out the way I hoped, but this ring did. Nothing complex, just a simple hammered ring. Thinking about stealing it as a replacement for my ill-fitting wedding band. Will have other pieces up on the site soon. :)

Magick, in any form (sigils, wards, hexes, spells, etc) will always reflect the state of the person casting. If you are unbalanced, the same will be true for the sigil. If your Will is unfocused, so will be the hex. A canopy of leaves cannot be created with withering and rotted roots. #witchsky

So our "sensory friendly t-day" dinner consists of breaded turkey breast fingers, raw vegetables, cheesy scalloped potatoes and ice cream for dessert. NEVER let anyone tell you that Thanksgiving or any holiday meal has to be a big production. It's about comfort, warmth, and love. That's it.
