I'd recommend doing posture exercises too. Bad posture can make the belly stick out more than it would otherwise. If that's the only "problem area" then that might be the actual issue. Though, doing exercise and getting fit in general is a plus too

I had to check if Krita does this for me too and... it doesn't. It works just like in CSP, the lower opacity does stack and each stroke increases it. Honestly don't know why it doesn't work like that for you

Yup very creepy lol To thumbnail, make a bunch of tiny squares on a canvas, then you do very rough and quick sketches on those while zoomed out, and the goal is mainly to test different compositions for an idea. The first thing that comes to mind is rarely the best after all

I thumbnail first, that usually 1 layer, then, depending on how complex the drawing is, usually 1-5 layers that I eventually merge together into 1 or 2 before moving on. I tend to sketch characters and backgrounds on separate layers or go by planes (fore-, mid- & background)

Well if you always back off of things that seem complex then you'll never learn it. You can just research how armor (or clothing in general) works. Then you know how everything is supposed to attach & what to keep in mind when designing it. The info is out there and not exactly hard to find either

I think it's essentially buying/selling character designs. People who can't draw, don't like the design process or just really like the design of an adoptable can then have a cool OC to call their own. & people who love designing characters get to do what they love and get money out of it. win-win.

I usually go with something along the lines of 3000-4000 px and a minimum of 300 dpi. When I had a weaker pc I used 2000-3000 px. It's just better all around. Easier to work on smaller but important details, you don't lose much quality if you crop or shrink the image, rendering looks smoother etc

One PC got ran into a bar fight while the other went on a stroll around town, looking for an NPC, & we kept cutting back and forth. & while Inkwhisp here did need a bit of help from an NPC in the end, they were doing really well fighting all alone. I was so proud!

In my most recent drawing I apparently used a total of 425 layers - according to CSP. But since I also delete and merge layers a lot, not all of those layers are still part of the final file. Still, a loooot of layers. Using only 4 would be a challenge and doesn't sound very fun tbh lol

I use new layers for ...everything. Every time there's a new element I want to add or there's a slight chance something I do could ruin another element. So I have multiple separate layers for: thumbnails, sketch, line art, colors, highlights, effects, rendering, etc.

@pointcrow.com & @pchal.bsky.social 's Nuzlocke Invitational was so much fun to watch! All the streams of the runs and the matches during the tournament were beyond exciting and I just had to try to capture how hype Valkyrae VS Slimecicle was
