TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One (1997) Had to break out a hoodie for my morning walk today. #Vinyl 151
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Cornershop - I Was Born For The 7th Time (1997) My best guess on why this wonderful record has never been reissued would be that there is some sampling rights issue. Glad to snag a used OG copy last weekend at my local. #Vinyl 160
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Twisted Teens - Twisted Teens (2025) Just learned of this band at the beginning of this year, still getting caught up on their discography. This is their debut but they’re about to release their 3rd record of 2026. #Vinyl 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Bill Orcutt - Four Louies Live (2026) The Kingsmen’s “Louie Louie” done in the style of Steve Reich’s “Four Organs” is a droney party! #Vinyl 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Phish - Slip Stitch And Pass (1997) Hard to believe this record’s been sitting in my “new records pile since November of last year. It’s such a great live album. #Vinyl 140

TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Way Dynamic - Massive Shoe (2025) I came across “Miffed It” in my algorithm last year and immediately fell in love with it. Thankfully Jagjaguar is now distributing it in the US so I could pick up a copy without paying a bunch in shipping to get a copy from Australia. #Vinyl 131
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 19/09/2026My Morning Jacket - Z (2005) One of the benefits to being in my 40s is I am now ancient enough that Mobile Fidelity has finally decided that I am apart of their target demographic which means post millennial audiophile releases are now being released. This one sounds AMAZING. #Vinyl 290
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I’m gonna need to reorganize my bookshelf. The new @stevenhyden.bsky.social book just dropped. 182
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 04/09/2026The Simpsons - Songs In The Key Of Springfield (1997) Ecstatic that this was finally pressed on wax. As someone who loves The Simpsons, I would’ve purchased this regardless of how it sounded but I was pleasantly surprised with how rich and dynamic this collection is. Really great stuff. #Vinyl 350
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Muddy Waters - Folk Singer (1964) It’s just an audiophile blues kinda day. #Vinyl 160
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 03/09/2026John Lee Hooker - It Serve You Right To Suffer (1966) Another amazing sounding blues record from Analogue Productions. #Vinyl 140
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Junior Wells' Chicago Blues Band - Hoodoo Man Blues (1966) I don’t have too many Blues records but The AP pressings I own are some of the best sounding records in my collection. #Vinyl 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Superdrag - Regretfully Yours (1996) Lots of great power pop in 1996. #Vinyl 140
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Cake - Fashion Nugget (1996) Cake is always good…both in dessert and band form. #Vinyl 2181
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Local H - As Good As Dead (1996) Feel like keepin’ it in ‘96 for the rest of the day. This is the recent reissue directly released from the band. An excellent release. #Vinyl 160
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Weezer - Pinkerton (1996) IVC is releasing a new pressing of this gem so I wanted to give my 4xLP deluxe reissue from 2010 a spin to see if I would maybe be interested in the new reissue and TBH, fhis pressing sounds pretty fantastic. #Vinyl 180
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Thomas Dollbaum - Birds Of Paradise (2026) Speaking of MJ Lenderman, he is all over Thomas Dollbaum’s debut (Drums, Guitar, backing vocals) but none it is obtrusive and it all still feels like its own thing. But still it nice to get by with a little help from your friends. #Vinyl 150
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Ovven - Gnawing At The Cord (2026) Ovven gets comped a lot to MJ Lenderman and while I feel that the two artist nicely complement one another, I don’t think Owen sounds all that similar to MJ. #Vinyl 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Hiding Places - The Secret To Good Living (2026) Just gonna continue digging into my backlog of 2026 releases I haven’t spun yet. This Hiding Places debut is fantastic. if you dig Wednesday you will dig this one. #Vinyl 120
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Westside Cowboy - It Goes On (2026) Loved their two preceding EPs but this debut is definitely an album of the year contender. These guys are so good. #Vinyl 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Finn Wolfhard - Fire From The Hip (2026) The kid from Stranger Things got game. #Vinyl 140
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Now Tim Curry sadly has passed away. I think I am done with this dumb week. 010
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Absolutely crushed in the loss of Dolly Parton. She was such a purely good human. Life on this planet becomes a bit colder without here light. Hopefully we can all try a bit harder to make up for this loss. 320
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Boards Of Canada - Inferno (2026) Finally tearing off the cellophane on this bad boy. #Vinyl 0130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Phish - The Siket Disc (1999) Starting off the day with some instrumental Phish. #Vinyl 041
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 18/08/2026I really love magazines. I will occasionally pick up old back issues of music mags on eBay. They are like tiny time capsules and the nature of flipping through them is a bit of tactile joy. Reading about bands or albums reviews with the 20/20 hindsight adds a layer to the writing. 163
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 15/08/2026Aw bummer. Just saw Rolling Stone rock critic, Dave Marsh passed away. He was a bit before my time though I enjoyed his book on Bruce Springsteen. 011
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 15/08/2026This Is Lorelei - A Box For Buddy, A Box For Star (2024) I already had the OG of this but I had to spring for the deluxe, the bonus disc is full some of my favorite artists (Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman, Jeff Tweedy, Momma, Tim Heidecker, Cameron Winter, Etc…) covering tracks from the album. #Vinyl 220
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Whiskeytown - Pneumonia (2001) My favorite Whiskeytown album. The bands final album got lost in the shuffle during some label turmoil which caused it to be shelved. In the meantime, Adams released Heartbreaker. Thankfully the label would release Pneumonia as a lead up to Gold. #Vinyl 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Whiskeytown - Strangers Almanac (1997) This is the album where Adams finds his voice both as a songwriter and his literal voice. Whiskeytown’s debut showed promise but Strangers Almanac is where they put it all together and deliver an absolute stunner. #Vinyl 120
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Whiskeytown - Faithless Street (1996) I know Ryan Adams is shithead but also I love his Whiskeytown and early solo records and was pleased that Whiskeytown’s discography was recently reissued on wax. This is actually the first ever pressing on Faithless Street on vinyl. #Vinyl 160
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Rage Against The Machine - Evil Empire (1996) Fuck the System!! (while working for my giant corporate overlords). #Vinyl 4332
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Ween - 12 Golden Country Greats (1996) Kicking off my Saturday up shit’s creek with a turd for a paddle. 2026 being the year of Gener and Deaner contues with another fantastic reissue. #Vinyl 150
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Kim Gordon/Ikue Mori/DJ Olive - SYR5: ミュージカル パ一スペクティブ (2000) Kinda the same scenario. Another relatively new addition desperately needing to get out of my “New Additions” stack and filed away. #Vinyl 150
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Spacemen 3 - For All The Fucked-Up Children Of This World We Give You Spacemen 3 (First Ever Recording Session, 1984) (1995) I’ve had this one for awhile now. About time I got around to giving it a spin. #Vinyl 241
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Saw the Odyssey in IMAX today. It was a fantastic film. The cast was great and (outside the CGI creatures) it looked and sounded wonderful. The only thing that really took me out of the film was Telemachus referring to Penelope and Odysseus and “Mom” and “Dad”. 030
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Pavement was SO MUCH FUN! The venue was lovely, it was a magnificent night of music all around. 230
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 18/07/2026In Portland for the weekend. We are seeing Pavement at Revolution Hall this evening. Decided to walk from our hotel to Powell’s Books via The Burnside Bridge. A beautiful day in a beautiful city. 150
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Rocket From The Crypt - Scream, Dracula, Scream! (1995) This one had been on my want list for quite a while stoked that Interscope finally got around to repressing it. #Vinyl 140
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Gin Blossoms - Congratulations I’m Sorry (1996) Love that this repress includes bonus tracks including the single from the Empire Records soundtrack (very mediocre movie, quality soundtrack) “Til I Hear It From You”. #Vinyl 2130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 20/06/2026A.C. Newman - The Slow Wonder (2004) As much as I love Neko and Dan, Carl’s pop sensibility is what really makes The New Pornographers special. #Vinyl 120
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Destroyer - Kaputt (2011) Dan Bejar is so consistently brilliant. I take him for granted. #Vinyl 110
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Neko Case & Her Boyfriends - Furnace Room Lullaby (2000) I’ll always have a soft spot for this one due to the Tacoma-heavy lyrical content. #Vinyl 110
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 20/06/2026The New Pornographers - Electric Version (2003) This was my introduction to The New Pornographers, Neko Case, Carl Newman, and Dan Bejar. This record is pop perfection with each party adding a unique element to build on a whole that is greater than its parts. #Vinyl 240
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 19/06/2026Damn, I just saw that James Burrows passed. He was responsible for some of the funniest TV shows ever. I read and really enjoyed his book last summer. 130
TenderLovingKiller @tenderlovingkiller.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Beck -Odelay (1996) Happy 30th anniversary to this quintessential 90s masterpiece. Still got my two turntables and a microphone. #Vinyl 1120
