Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 26/08/2026Last time I was in Boulder I went to Efrain's and got the green chili and I can't stop thinking about it 490
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 10/08/2026My weekend project: I installed the trmnl firmware on an xteink 4 and set up my own server. Now I've got eink displaying temp, pm2.5, and co2 info! 4220
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 05/08/2026PM 2.5 in the house. Don't have any sensors outside atm 😭 040
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 05/08/2026Pretty smokey out! Looks like I could photograph a sun spot? 1130
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 02/08/2026Found a certificate I'm actually proud of for piano solo. This one was actually very hard to get 1200
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 02/08/2026Btw I'm also certified in HTML 4.0, and if you don't believe me you can verify my transcript on brainbench.com 5360
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 17/07/2026Heading home from RubyConf. I had an amazing time. I met lots of old friends and made new ones too. I especially enjoyed helping folks get a CRuby dev environment up and running. We added Array#second, then added an Oxford comma to Prism, and studied YARV. It was really fun! 2331
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 29/06/2026Took some bee photos! Though one of these isn't a honey bee (unsure what it is) 4180
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 20/06/2026Heading home from PLDI26. Met great people, learned tons of stuff, and I feel very inspired! Wish I had attended PLDI conference sooner 1222

Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 19/12/2025Wish I had bought this book sooner. It's a vocabulary book, but uses sample phrases to help you memorize the words. Also the words and usages are very modern so it feels very helpful outside of studying for JLPT 1142
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 18/12/2025I opened `Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network`. I guess Chrome really wants access to my local network 🤷🏻♀️ 10503
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 13/12/2025One thing I'm really excited about in Ruby 4.0 is that object allocation is going to get a nice speed boost 38810
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 12/12/2025I think this is also a tVOC sensor (the datasheet basically says so). AFAIK "tVOC" just means "total volatile organic compounds", so not just one specific compound, and that's what the SEN66 does. The datasheet mentions they test the sensor with ethanol though 010
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 12/12/2025We have a gas range, and my office is right next to the kitchen, so every time we cook something co2 in my office is 📈📈📈 190
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 05/12/2025I am very fast at clicking because I can merge a PR and click the "open PRs" tab and it's still there 4410
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 01/12/2025The notification summary feature on macOS can't seem to make up its mind about which language to use 😂 0110
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 24/11/20253D printed a case for my air quality monitor! Will work on the firmware next 0180
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 16/11/2025Working on a new AQ sensor, and the first version of my PCBs worked correctly! Never thought I could top the feeling of "code compiles and works on the first try" 😂 Project is still a WIP, but repo is here: github.com/tenderlove/t... 2191
Aaron Patterson @tenderlove.dev · 13/10/2025Went to @xoruby.com in Portland, and it was a blast! If you get a chance to go when it's near you, I highly recommend it! 44310
