I’m gonna end this thread here for now since it’s late but if I think of anything else I’ll throw it in here! I had an absolute blast with this game and can wholeheartedly recommend it if your PC can run it. I’m really hoping that some optimization patches get put out for it so more people can play

7. Extended Mission Timers Modifier Basically what it says. I found that while the pacing of the mission timers felt good, I was always tight on money and that sucks when you just had a rough mission with 4 wounded and a mandatory mission is required to progress. Would be nice to have!

6. One Injury Mode Ok this is not a good idea but I like the idea of having a high risk “One Injury = One Death” mode where you have to be extra careful with your squad so they don’t get domed by a cultist and die. Granted, I played my run on Normal so no one really died but it could be fun!

5. Overwatch Fixes Something I noticed throughout my playthrough is that Overwatch sometime just wouldn’t trigger? I’m not sure if this is a bug or me not understanding the UI properly when using it from an elevated position but I figured I should mention it cause it led to some frustrations.

4. More Customization! I’m just greedy :) but I would love to have more non-clothing options unlock as the game progresses kinda like how the outfits do. Like new hair, heterochromia eye sets, new face paint or makeup, etc. (I get that this requires new assets, it’s just a wishlist thing honestly)

3. Misclick Protection I think a nice accessibility option would be to have a box pop up saying “are you sure you want to move here?” when you place a unit in a spot with no cover, cause there were several times where I accidentally clicked and moved an operator to where I didn’t want them.

2. Some Animation Tweaks in the Speech I won’t spoil but there’s a scene that involves your custom squad mates and they just kinda…stand around doing nothing in an emotional scene. It was kinda distracting, having an idle of them nodding along or something would help! (This is just a nitpick)

1. “Unequip All” Button for Mods and Utilities - I just think this would be a very good quality of life improvement so I don’t have to individually go through all of my operators and take everything out. I know that the display has the Operator’s face and I can just swap, it would just be nice.

Just finished Star Wars Zero Company after 40ish hours and had a blast! It perfectly scratches that XCOM itch that I’ve been craving from a tactics game, has some very fun and witty writing and characters, and kept me hooked. I do wanna suggest some changes that I personally would like from it:

That's what I overwhelmingly don't understand about the AI craze. Fundamentally, AI takes all the data it accrues and when you tell it to "do a thing" it averages everything out and gives you something that's passable at best. What advantage is there over not hiring an artist/designer?
