"I wonder… Do you even see it?" Cirina's question, spoken with smile and expression of great and gentle affection for the other in her arms, gaze fixed on the retreating back of the scaled and horned Viera that had just left their sides with a quick brush of his lips against the skin and scale of Kae-il's forehead. Their head tilted up, golden gaze questioning her with a raised eyebrow.

It had been this way ever since she stopped running. There had been no particular reason to stop there, in this far edge of everything. There had simply been a point of weariness they'd come to realize amid the cold. The darkness and silence of it all had begun to bleed together; It felt like she had already long stalled in pressing further and farther, numbing the fear that had inspired their escape.

Back and forth with the utmost focus and care, Kae-il's eyes traced the path of their hand which held the cloth to the dark grain of the shaft of their most cherished weapon; Their lance, Iwa-toshi Shin. There were many who had believed there was something about the small Azem which did not sit right with them. Some argued it was those same eyes. Others argued in favor of their missing parentage and the rumors surrounding it. There were even those that argued Eupheme was no person at all but a created concept like any other beast — One that was especially dangerous, especially because of her deceptive appearance and wild nature.

Speculation upon some things were done openly, with rare and few exceptions.

An Ellipsus snippet from a WiP upon a darker gradient background which reads, "Hazel hues narrowed in the slightest alongside their smile that had yet to falter and laugh sounded, loud and arrogant, cutting through the ruckus of the tavern.

"Y'know... Here's the thing..."

Their hand raised to remove their hat to settle it, as well as their wine, upon their chair before gaze snapped back to their antagonists.

"If you know who I am, then you should also already know..."

A clash of metal. The thud of wood being kicked aside and skipping across the floor. The slam of feet upon the wall to propel one forward. The wet and sharp sound that preceded a loud and final thud.

Crouched atop the dead caster, their blade plunged into the upper left of their chest, the traveler made move to stand and glare back to the remaining three, raising a second yet unbloodied blade in their direction.

"I don't suggest threatenin' The Blade of Fortune.""
