Every piece of art goes through a journey in its creation and this one is no different. Originally this was going to be a pretty monochromatic piece then a pesky green snake crept in!! I will only know what it will look like when it’s finished! #oilpainting #art #painting #artist #surreal #oil

Taking a break from oils this evening (some drying time needed), so I started to put colour to this fiery lady with a touch of watercolour. #painting #artwork #weird #watercolour #art #artist #sketchbook

Eye eye apple pie! Some unfinished details on my WIP. Loving learning how oils behave. I think they may become my go to medium. #catart #animals #cat #weirdart #popsurreal #painting #animalart #art #oilpainting #oils #somethingdifferent #oddball

After a couple of weeks away from the paints I have managed to get a couple of hours on this moggie today. Made some good progress, made a couple of mistakes but she is coming along! Everyone loves cats and robins don’t they? #cat #robin #oilpainting #painting #artwork #art #artist #popsurreal

I have updated my website. I have removed the shop for now and redesigned my site to focus on my portfolio and blog. I have had little luck or interest in the purchase of my art so this frees my mind to focus just on creation #art #portfolio #blog #website Telltalltales.co.uk

This is an old one, but I fancied sharing it again! Digitally painted/drawn in procreate. Took around 80 hours if memory serves me right. #digitalart #tiger #wildlife #cat #portrait #weirdart #darkart #popsurrealism #lowbrow #painting #drawing #art #artwork #artist

Some line work today that I will eventually colour. Thinking I will use watercolours for the deed. #sketchbook #linework #sketch #art #artwork #artist #drawing #portrait #darkart #weirdart

Today’s art sketch isn’t the best work, but I need to put more practice into drawing hands from the imagination. They never look right no matter what. But with practice comes improvement. #cat #hands #digitalart #painting #drawing #artwork #art #artist #sketch

Keeping it loose with my sketches at the moment, trying to feel my way with them rather than focusing too much on the details. #portrait #darkart #art #artist #sketch #doodle #painting #drawing

I had to Google what this meant, and I had never heard of the book, is it any good?

I am on another planet right now and I didn’t bring all of my art stuff with me, just my iPad. So I did a digital sketch this evening to flex the old creativity muscles! #digitalart #artwork #art #skull #skullart #darkart #painting #drawing #weirdart #doodle #sketch

This big beauty popped their head over the wall to say hello to us on our walk today. We gave them lots of fuss and they loved it. #photo #photography #horse #portrait #animal

Ah ok, this is because the stuff in the gallery isn’t for sale, there is print section for that. Somebody else pointed out I should probably rename this to portfolio to remove confusion!

Thank you for taking the time to look. Solid feedback as well, I like the idea of calling it a portfolio rather gallery, it is a cleaner separation from the shop

That’s interesting feedback thank you. I went in after you said this and it isn’t clear to click on the images to go to another page, I will add buttons to the main page to make I easier

That’s what I have done, threads is now where I post random stuff and here is for my art, plus we don’t penalised over here for attaching images or links to a post so it’s better that way!

Tell tall tales @telltalltales.co.uk · 25/03/2025

I had this happen on threads, I posted a political meme and gained over 2000 followers in 48 hours but it’s really screwed up the algo for me. If I share art over there it just crickets, not one of these new ‘followers’ engages and the people I used to enjoy talking too have disappeared into noise
