It’s October time to draw a lot let’s go let’s go! Day 1: apple Starting off strong with a shitpost

A sketch of the little guy looking up all foreshortened with the big eyes face but it’s Ventus from kingdom hearts holding an apple

The same picture but it’s got chalky lineart and the apple is colored red. The text “excuse me ma’am… you dropped this” has been added surrounding the image

#PoorlyDrawnOctober Makes a return for 2026! Join me once again in fighting against perfectionism! This year, there is a bit of a twist, but the goal stays the same: Draw something every day, and allow yourself to have fun, make messes, and mistakes!

A poster designed like a red-string corkboard one might see in a detective or murder mystery story. The sticky notes have sketched doodles of faces, hearts, dice and tools, associated with the various 'sections' of the poster.

The text is displayed across various scraps of 'paper', and connected with red string. The text reads:

Did you think my page of stupid AU sketches was fun? As threatened, there’s a fic! 17 chapters of AUs, hijinx, shenanigans, and Sora figuring out what kind of happily ever after he wants in his own story. It’s complete and will update daily.

“Have fun, Neku.” My brain didn’t want to let me have the art ideas I wanted to have but it DID let me draw Josh so, yay?

People are making guesses about kh4 worlds so I Star Wars-ed your Sora. (From left to right: Cal Kestis Protagonist Poncho, X-Wing Pilot, Mr. Skywalker’s Chanel Boots, and Desert Planet Special)

Four sketches of Sora trying on different outfits from Star Wars—
1. A red poncho over pants and boots, he’s holding the keyblade out
2. The orange pilot jumpsuit from the original trilogy, he’s holding a helmet but instead of the rebellion emblem it has his crown on it
3. The all black Luke Skywalker look from ROTJ, Sora is twisting around to check out his outfit
4. Something sand colored with floaty fabric. Sora has his keyblade over his shoulders.

I WANTED to do something cute and simple for Valentine’s Day but the only idea that my partner had for me that stuck was this so uh. A few days later and not cute and simple, have some soriku feelings.

Sora, dressed in his kh4 outfit, is sinking into deep water, and Riku (kh3 version) is diving in after him. At the bottom of the image, the scramble crossing emerges fragmented from the depths.

A screenshot of the procreate UI showing a full set of the major arcana of tarot cards with various kingdom hearts inspired art (too many to describe here, but all are posted on the artist’s feed) along with a design for the back, black with floating keyhole shapes around a pair of wings and a star.

I haven’t managed to get another whole art idea but you can see the page of sketches I’ve done for the new fic Arsamenes is working on

Sketches of Sora and Riku in various AUs: space pilot and mechanic, cowboy and outlaw, and definitely just Kim Possible. There’s also a sketch in the corner of Sora with the keyblade looking at a bunch of TV screens

Happy birthday, Leo. I’m sorry I can’t send you some art to celebrate. Thought I’d draw the original gay cowboy Jesus since he’s why we met. #forLeo

As my 16th installment in my KH tarot project I present you card number 1, The Magician. This took me a weirdly long time to get right.

A digital illustration of a tarot card. Riku, dressed in a black org coat and wearing a blindfold, is profiled against a pink-and-orange sunset (or sunrise, which would be thematically appropriate for him, but the artist was thinking of Twilight Town)

A fanart digital painting of the tarot card “Death”. The art is of Sora and Roxas in the iconic “looks like my summer vacation is over” scene from kingdom hearts 2, with the lotus shaped pod opening to reveal Sora as Roxas stares at him in anger and resignation.

This guy! I both felt very strongly that Eraqus was the only choice for this card and didn’t really care very much about drawing a portrait of Eraqus. I think I did okay though, and it was good to practice a different face, lest I get too same face in my usual ways.

Okay, next up! Namine for The Empress. This is one of the cards I was least sure about, since I don’t really feel any of the ladies in KH are a great fit. In the end, it was between Namine and Aqua, and I didn’t love assigning Aqua to the divine motherhood type role, so weird creation it is.

A roughly painted tarot card, The Empress, featuring Namine from kingdom hearts with her eyes closed and her hands raised. Superimposed in front of her is the sleeping pod. Over her head is a halo of seven stars.

(Sliding another card across the table) no I’m fine why do you ask. Yeah I definitely have done things other than drawing in the last couple days. I’ve had meals and stuff.

A loosely painted tarot card: The Devil. Continuing the theme of kingdom hearts tarot cards, this one features kh1 Riku-Ansem in the foreground engulfed in green glow holding the keyblade of heart. In the background, Ansem looms large above him, extending a hand over Riku’s head. A pattern of strings, suggesting entrapment, completes the image.

Today I felt like drawing a Riku. Have another tarot card.

A loose digital painting of Riku in his kh2 outfit as the card Temperance. The background of the card is half in light and half in shadow and Riku is correspondingly half shadowed and half illuminated, b hr walking into the light. Inspiration for this background a composition has rather transparently been taken from the kh3 opening music video.
