New ep just dropped for my podcast, A New Computer. @ruperts.world & I have a far-ranging conversation /w Mozilla CTO Raffi Krikorian about the role of open source in building the next personal computer. We also chat about our new product (Television!) and… the pope? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj9L...

So this is fun: I was interviewed by @iristenteije.bsky.social about the future of interfaces and the work we're doing on Television. Read on for references to LCARS, the Altair, and Jenga towers. adaptivesoftware.substack.com/p/the-interf...

Yes, it runs on top of your agent harness, so it works with whatever models your agent supports.

Introducing Television, the missing GUI for personal agents — Telepath
Television is a visual workspace for you and your agent, and our first step toward a new interface paradigm for agentic computers.

Television is invite-only while we alpha test, but will soon be open source. Join the wait list here: television.run

We think this points toward a broader shift in software. Fixed apps give way to reusable skills. Those skills generate interfaces on the fly, shaped around the user and the task instead of the other way around.

But today’s agent interfaces still feel stuck in the MS-DOS era. That’s why we made Television. It gives agents shared screens where they can create visual HTML artifacts: dashboards, editable documents, research views, coding tools, tiny apps, and whatever else the task calls for.

For a while, we’ve been predicting a new kind of personal computer: one that adapts to the user, and trades fixed apps for generative, personalized interfaces. Personal agents like OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude Code, and Codex are the first glimmers of that future.

We just released Stash — fast local-first folder sync across your devices & agents. It's backed by GitHub, with more storage providers coming. We've been using this internally to keep notes, docs, and skills in sync across computers, team members, and remote agents. Now available on npm.

Grateful to have co-founders I'd brave both mountains and board meetings with. Trust + friendship is an unfair advantage. @telepathinc.bsky.social @ruperts.world

I was already curious about where Telepath was headed. After talking with Rupert and @stlhood.bsky.social, I am now excited.
