Setting sail for the island, the ocean went by in a blur. After the vindictive one had waged war against them, the rest had decided to meet every summer on the island - one just told to the core.

Living for ages left many behind, yet some you couldn’t escape. No matter how you tried to get rid of them.

The island though, was heaven. So lush compared to their villages on the mountains. A joyful escape for a few weeks each summer. As long as he didn’t find them…

She had found her place here, among the villages on the mountain. Though tormented still from events in her old life - this new one felt almost tame in comparison.

Each summer the tribes met by the sea, a harbour of a fashion she thought. The villages here had boats that moored along a natural rock that looked like a pier.

Getting her was quite the exercise, getting back up was worse. She wondered if she could still travel by the shadows, the voice had been gone for hundreds of years now. The power unused.

Some of us are repulsed by too much
Not all is dangerous or worthy
If you like something - within culture/law
Why should you not?
Still we all are repulsed by stuff
Things we just can't stand.
Foul smells, food waste, spiders and more
Perfectly natural to feel so.
Being repulsed by a wedding cake
Just because the couple are different.
Isn't all right in any way Love all, the book says.
but we forget, and thus get repulsed instead...

Looking out over the cliff, she saw clouds below her. She hadn’t realised how far up these villages was! The buildings here wasn’t like where she was from, no taverns or shops to be seen.

Still she hadn’t seen anyone, but she thought she was nearing the central shelf where in the dream she had seen six channelers, they must be here somewhere.

Rounding a corner she saw them. About fifty villagers was stood in a half circle, facing her. Strangely they seemed pleased to see her.

Well, time to introduce myself.

As she continued along the path, Malin thought of the life she had left behind. She had left a bequest to the town she had resided in, if they ever decided to go to her cottage. Hopefully they would survive the dark age to come with the knowledge left behind in her old home. She still has most of it in her memory anyway.

The path led her to what seemed like residential tents, but nobody was to be seen around them. She hoped that her arrival hadn’t offended them, that they would give her a chance.

Malin felt like a reprieve had finally come. Even as she made her way to the village, it seemed further than in the dream, she sensed nothing that wanted to harm her here. The trees were plain and thin here, their bark like skin stretched around them.

She hoped the village would become welcoming to her, not that she had any reason to be nit-picky about anything she found here. She had willingly left the old world behind after all, and could return if things got too bad.

Waking up with a cold - Don't want to be
- A shower will clear it up! a cup of tea will deal with the rest No need for my colleagues to be nit-picky
- Really, I'm hardly ill at all!
The headaches are getting worse, my throat tight - it's difficult to swallow
"I'm ok! I'm really not sick" I say as I succumb to a violent coughing fit
