so we pivoted because of the flooding so we've spent all day lifting patio stones to grade them up/level them out as a form of flood prevention. long work ahead. in the last image you can see a bit better how the left side is more level then the right side.

removed & put back the stones so I could place canvas beneath + leveled a patio stone for this nice rain barrel. cleared out & thoroughly weeded our alley to prep it for a rock path. moved (one of) the massive & unappealing carports to the BACK of the house... and so much more the past few weeks...

haven't updated in awhile but it's been the same thing for awhile.... we've probably gone through about 50 bags of yard waste and still more to go. I also installed gutter guards and we've begun the process to "renovate" the pool... not sure we'll get the pool open though but who knows!

worked on the front. probably moved another 300kg of stone. not perfect but we made a shell with leftover wood during autumn last year to help block the obnoxious propane tank on the front lawn & we're gunna decorate the outside of it to look more welcoming. pruned more trees, more gardening...

i probably lifted & moved about 300KG of rocks today by cleaning up the areas around the window wells (4 of them) as well as refilling the window wells to bring up the height and laying white rock on top of it + SOOOO MUUUUCH WEEEEEDING + set up some patio furniture. my back tomorrow.... 😭😫

we got the RV & pop-up camper OUT of the backyard (RV sold & popup ready for the dump when we get the time) + we bundled up SO many trees and branches that we cut this weekend and also mowed part of the lawn before it ran out of gas. next weekend, if nice, eavestrough cleaning and the BIG chainsaw.

the tree cutting and pruning continued today. for a very long while we could NOT get under this tree patch because the vines, branches, bushes, etc. were out of control. many reasons this had to be done but the main one is so we can fence in the back.

I think one of my funniest cosplay lore moments is a KH sora cosplayer introducing me to weed in like 2006 & we got super high behind the dumpsters at anime north. then afterwards staring at the moon, reaching up to the night sky, and saying "kingdom hearts... is light". i was cosplaying Riku.
