Imagine a picture an incredibly stupid man would think was cool. If you're imagining a surfer in a tracksuit awkwardly squatting to rest a laptop on his knees while throwing devil horns and riding a surfboard that says "SAAS" on a massive ocean wave that says "SAS" in front of a half-hearted attempt at a retrowave sun with clouds blending into the waves in nonsensical ways and all drawn in several different art styles then congratulations. Oh and there's a horrible vignette effect. Oh my god one of the seagulls from the background is drawn over the wave making it look like he's pursued by a tiny gull.

of course, it's not really yellow, it's a shade of pink that's very slightly orangey there's 2 things happening here: 1/ the tone mapping desaturates bright colours 2/ your perception interprets colour relative to context and relative to the magenta this shade of peachy-pink is yellow

i found it really interesting that i could still perceive yellows in a magenta-lit scene, which should make them look the same as red, so i did an experiment - they do look the same! i was expecting magenta lighting to make leaves on trees appear black, but i am surprised it made reds appear yellow

My second roll was black and white. My camera has a problem with shutter capping at fast shutter speeds, which causes a dark region on the right side of the frame, sometimes it chops off half the picture, sometimes it looks kind of okay.

Another thing find in a 30 year old box of junk: Negatives of long exposure photos of a CRT screen showing renders from the ray tracer I wrote for my dissertation. The university didn't have a colour printer so we improvised.

A set of film negatives held up against a window so they're back lit, CGI images of geometric forms are visible in the images on the film.

$The same image colour corrected to invert the negatives. The first few show the platonic solids floating against a blue sky, then unions of each with it's dual, then more complex scenes with multiple shapes on an infinite plane with reflections and refractions, and break downs showing the different stages of rendering.$
