Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I believe I am likely not alone in that my first thoughts went to POTATOES 😺 150

Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 17/09/2026So sorry for your loss: there is no love like this love. 000
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 07/09/2026 Oh holy heck this is seventeen different kinds of lovely at once!!! 100
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Exactly this state is how I finally learned to play guitar: just plopping 3 fingers in the right spots for one simple chord, then another, then (eventually) another was just about all my brain could do. The repetition was nice & mindless—even as I was actually starting to make music-like noises! 000
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Also, this sent me down a rabbithole to run into 𐀁𐁉𐀺, which I think has rich potential to end up as a tattoo on lots and lots of people. 110
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 20/08/2026OMG the overlap is wild! And I love that An Hobad is the first and easiest to spot! 020
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 14/08/2026So sorry for your loss: there is no love like this love. 000
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 06/08/2026I know this is not remotely true, but Benedict Cumberbatch so feels like it *ought* to qualify. 100
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I once worked downstairs from a speaker of Scottish English where in his dialect, they still pronounce those GHs as actual KH (or CH as in Bach, loch) -sound. So “thokht” for “thought”, and so on! So for them, at least, these spellings retain their original logic.😺 100
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Wishing her the quickest return to solid health, and to her dog-pal! 000
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 02/08/2026It must be so nice for famous people whenever they get back that anonymity, and can just be a friendly stranger among friendly strangers again. You likely gave him a lovely respite, I’d venture. 020
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 02/08/2026So sorry: wishing you two the best time together possible. 000
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Heck yeah: the effort and enthusiasm that it takes to make, well, pretty much anything—no matter the style/production values/what have you—almost never fails to make me happy with whatever it is. 180

Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Ah, so sorry to hear that. (Oddly, I also started learning Gaelic on my own in year 7, though for much less romantic reasons!) Also thinking now he also might enjoy *The World’s Writing Systems*, (Daniels & Bright): it’s a rad romp. I am guessing he knows about foxhole radios, too? 111
Conor Quinn @teiscinn.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Ooh, given the above, I’m guessing he would love David Crystal’s *The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language*: it’s all that and several bags of chips. Also, is he still learning Gaelic? There’s a whole host of cool new resources that have come out in recent years! 110
