Started using an ad blocker in the 90s, because bandwidth and RAM were precious. Today, we dont think twice about clicking multi-MB images, but website render times are significantly faster without all the cruft and bloat. Eliminating trackers and malware was just an added bonus.

Best theater experience: LotR:RotK Samwise and Frodo outside Mt.Doom, surrounded by lava, both knowing they are about to die, a very emotional scene. Someone yells "I LOVE YOU SAM!" Bonus: Elijah Wood's grandparents were in the theater's reserved seats.

I wish I knew where half my character names came from. I know some started as place-holders which eventually became canon, but others must have been some kind of twisted word-association/cockney-rhyming system. At least they are unique. :)

Parents took me to see Popeye, not knowing that it was a musical. At the time I did not appreciate the movie for what it was, probably because I was distracted by the THUMP-THUMP-THUMP sounds from the adjacent auditorium, where the movie I WANTED to see was playing.... Flash Gordon.

Giant spiders, like the car-sized ones you see in movies arent really that scary. There are any number of places I can crawl and hide in that they cannot access. But a horde of cat-sized spiders? THAT is scary.
