Summary:
Speaking his mind — saying shit like "I love you, numbnuts" — would probably freak Hitoshi out. Truth be told, saying it out loud will probably send a cold shiver down Katsuki's spine, too. He always figured that if he felt that way about anyone, it would be Izuku.

Katsuki settles for giving Hitoshi a scalp massage with the pads of his fingertips, soaks up Hitoshi's pleased hum like a thirsty sponge, and lets his meticulous schedule go up in flames all for a chance at being what Hitoshi needs right now. It's hardly the first time.
