My horror-loving coworker and Office Little Brother wanted a spot on my randomizer wheel and he was chosen last night. Apparently he had to go through 15 or so movies to find one I hadn't seen, but he guided me to this one, so here's tonight's #HorrorMovieChallenge2026 watch.

The randomizer selected Video Nasty, which is perfect because one of my students watched this recently and has NOT stopped singing its praises and urging me to watch it. It does mean more rape revenge, but my expectations are high! I trust her taste. #horrormoviechallenge2026

I have had no less than three people compliment my mascara today and had to admit that I'm not wearing mascara, it's just yesterday's eyeliner that I didn't properly wash off my face and migrated to my lashes. Someday I'll learn to be feminine. Today is not that day.

I had an appointment with a student asking about changing the name on their (very good!) resume to sound more white because they weren't getting job offers. It's very bleak to see a dedicated, talented person casually ponder methods to hide their race so they can make rent. I need a nap.

Talked with someone on a dating app who loves movies and is new to the area. We're having a movie date today and I of course recommended Screenland. Now I'm nervous.
