I don’t think that word “evidence” means what you think it means. There is already a great deal of evidence before the public - enough that I’m comfortable with my assessment. That you don’t find it convincing is a you thing. Our values, experience, and legal training are likely not the same.

Hard concept for Americans to grasp, but when you are only accused and not convicted you are presumed innocent. The burden is on the Crown (aka the state) to show why the risk is so extraordinary, continued jail is worth the risk of depriving an innocent person of their liberty

Thank you. You’d think false accusations were as common a crime as sex assault such that we must treat the risks of believing one over the other equally. With respect, that is utter bullshit. Only 8.6% of sex assaults (in Canada) are even reported. Any false claims would be a tiny subset of that.
