Hellraiser is approaching four decades old, but it is still one of the most terrifying horror movies in existence. Pinhead is an iconic horror movie villain much like Freddy, Jason, and Michael. The subsequent sequels may have gotten worse and worse, but the original is still a timeless classic!

I played Warlock on the Super Nintendo as part of my Retro Wednesday series a few months ago, but I never gave my thoughts on the movie. Honestly? This movie doesn't get the recognition it deserves, and the late Julian Sands gives a haunting performance in this dark fantasy film filled with frights!

I can add Creeping Death to the list of movies that were much better than I anticipated! I'm not saying this is one of the best movies you'll ever see, but even with its limited budget this movie is fun to watch as it mixes Halloween lore with gory practical effects that are quite awesome to see!

Hey, what's up everyone? 🙂 For this week's episode of Retro Wednesday, I will be playing the classic game Jackal on the NES for the first time ever! This is a Konami title I've heard about, but I've never had the opportunity to play. I hope you all tune in to my reaction and have a fantastic day! 😃

I love when movies exceed my expectations, and Wildling is a great example of that! This film offers a refreshing account of one suffering from lycanthropy, and the underlying theme of a young woman discovering herself adds a layer of humanity to the plot. I'd definitely recommend this movie!

Hey, what's up everyone? 🙂 Today is the day I begin my very first playthrough of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist on my main YT channel! I decided to play this as my main playthrough of October instead of Mortal Kombat 11, and I really hope you all check it out and enjoy! 😃

When it comes to Goosebumps, I'd recommend both of the Jack Black movies over the 2023 series any day of the week. Whereas the Disney+ series is a dull adaptation that takes itself way too seriously in moments, the movies are a blast to watch with their whimsical thrills and likable characters!

Go Vacation, as some of you may already know, is one of my all-time Switch games, but it was originally released for the Nintendo Wii 15 years ago today! Tomorrow, I will be releasing one more Go Vacation video on my main YT channel before I start TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist. Hope you all enjoy! 😃

Mortal Kombat Trilogy was one of my favorite fighting games growing up, and I still view it quite fondly. It was released 30 years ago today for the PlayStation, and this is the version that I own and have played in the past on my YT channel! It's always a blast playing as every classic character!

The Stuff may seem like a goofy parody movie on the surface, but it ends up being a surprisingly deep movie that I thoroughly enjoy watching. The body horror combined with such themes as unhealthy eating and crazy consumer culture makes it a much better movie in my eyes than it has any right being.

The Hollow (2015) has the premise to be a fascinating supernatural movie. However, the movie is slammed down to Earth with inept writing, poor acting, questionable pacing, and zero practical effects for the film's creature. It's not the worst movie I've seen, but it could've been so much better.

Night of the Demon is a 1980 horror movie (not to be confused with the 1988 film Night of the Demons) that, despite its low budget, ends up being a rather unsettling film that follows an anthropology professor and his students trying to prove the existence of Bigfoot in northern California.

Evil Dead Rise absolutely caught me by surprise in the best way possible! This deliciously disgusting film is fueled by a monster performance from Alyssa Sutherland, and I personally think this is one of the best Evil Dead movies! I can easily see fans of the first two films loving this movie!

Ouija: Hell House is neither a good supernatural movie nor a good haunted house movie. This is an absolute slog of a film to sit through where not much happens and what little does happen has zero payoff at the end. This is one of the worst horror movies I've seen this year and it's not even close.

Joy Ride is such an effective thriller/horror film because it involves a situation that could happen to literally anyone. The late Paul Walker shines as this film shows the terrifying things that might happen when you turn the wrong person into the butt of a joke, in this case a lonely truck driver.

Holy Ghost would have been a far better movie if the pacing wasn't among the worst that I've seen in a movie in recent memory. To say this movie is a slow burn is an understatement, and by the time things actually come to a head in the final act it's hard to have any emotional investment in it.

The House of the Dead is one of the most fun FPS games anyone can play, but sadly watching the film adaptation is anything but fun. Simply put, this is one of the most lifeless and absurd video game adaptations in existence. It doesn't even remotely capture the essence of the popular arcade game.

Mortal Kombat: Deception is one of my favorite games in the series, and it was released 22 years ago today! This game's Konquest Mode is amazing, and I wish Armageddon would have done something similar with theirs. I also really like Onaga as a final boss in this series, even more than Shao Kahn!

Pet Sematary Two isn't close to be as good as its predecessor, but I don't think it's as awful as what critics say it is. The film does have some redeeming qualities, including the chillingly brilliant performance of Clancy Brown (no surprise, really). There are far worse horror sequels than this.

The Funeral Home, also known as La Funeraria and The Undertaker's Home, delivers such an incoherent and uneven story that even when it comes to the film's climax, it's difficult to appreciate what the film is trying to accomplish. There are far better haunted house movies out there you can watch.

I sincerely apologize for this post being blunt, but I have to get this off my chest: after seeing her play in several matches, I'm honestly struggling to see how Alisha Lehmann ever became a professional footballer. At the very most, she's a wannabe Instagram model disguised as a footballer.

In my opinion, Grafted is a much, much better movie than The Substance. Whereas The Substance's message pertaining to beauty standards and identity become overshadowed by messy writing, awful pacing and too many over-the-top scenes, Grafted stays focused and delivers a movie that's worth watching!

Tonight is the beginning of the 21st (and potentially final) season of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang playing together. If this is indeed the last ride, hopefully it will be a memorable one marked by another playoff run and perhaps one last Cup run. LET'S GO PENS!! #PittsburghPenguins

Some people argue that Ace Ventura: Pet Detective has aged poorly over the last three decades, but I really don't care; I still enjoy watching this movie and this is still one of Jim Carrey's best movies imo! Despite having problematic elements for today's world, this film is witty and hilarious!

After rewatching Signs, I feel it's not anywhere near as good as I remember. Somehow, M. Night Shyamalan manages to turn an alien invasion movie into a chore to watch. Everyone (including Shyamalan himself) give wooden performances and the resolution to the film's main conflict is laughably absurd.

The Curse (also known as The Farm) tries to imitate the likes of The Blob and Return of the Living Dead in terms of body horror but ultimately fails to be anywhere as good as those movies. At the very least, I do appreciate the practical effects in the movie which admittedly grossed me out at times.

Monster Hunter is one of those films that I just can't bring myself to watch from beginning to end. I have tried to watch this movie on three occasions and each time I could not sit through the entire thing. This film achieves the rare feat of having non-stop action but being boring as hell.

Unpopular opinion: Crispin Glover is the second-best person to portray Willy Wonka. He doesn't lay a glove on Gene Wilder, but he is much better than both Timothee Chalamet and Johnny Depp. Glover's portrayal mirrors Depp's, but he shows Wonka's eccentric but slightly sinister demeanor effortlessly.

I've played Metroid II: Return of Samus on the Game Boy, but sadly I've never played the remake, Metroid: Samus Returns, for the 3DS because I don't own the console. I've seen and heard incredible things about this game that was released nine years ago today, but what are your thoughts about it?
