Roland P-6 tbh. But if you absolutely want to pick between the two then probably mpc

Teddy Robinson @teddyrobinson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

The Roland P-6 is legitimately my favorite sampler ever made. Can’t see myself loving any sampler currently on the market this much. The portable form factor beats out everything, the price is insane and for once we get a machine that doensn’t throw bright led lights everywhere.

I’m probably dumb but I still have no clue what this R&R hall of fame is like it’s in Cleveland and seems kinda small?? What happens when you’re inducted like they put a picture of you up?? It’s made out to be a big honor but how did we get here

Just messed up trying to whistle a straight note and the Op-1 turned it into a beautiful lead instead 😭 #teenageengineering

PSA if you haven’t played Oblivion yet now is absolutely the time. It’s possibly the best ever open world game and also the goofiest. You’re in for a real treat

I have a side project called The Teddyrobz Beats which is mostly hip hop beats with all synths. Up on any streaming platform

In terms of overwhelm factor I’d say it’s up there with programming and things like that so definitely not strange if you’re not there yet! Soon enough you’ll make something you’re actually happy with and that’s when it starts

Just saw a video of someone who had a crossfader between them, that would def be a cool option. Also remember that the 404 can sync

Teddy Robinson @teddyrobinson.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

The crossfader really adds the finishing flair that’s cool as hell

Take it step by step! It’ll click soon enough

Teddy Robinson @teddyrobinson.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Not a bad choice tbh. Just know that sequencing on the 404 is not as fun as on the p6

Same here. I bought an ASR-88 once but two keys were broken and it was SO heavy. Had to sell and wait for a better opportunity

What bothers me the most about these Behringer synth clones is that the original companies could have come out with reissues of these synths a long time ago and for some reason still don’t want to.
