I know "Mario 64 is weird" is a pretty trite observation at this point but why does Hazy Maze Cave have those Pizza Hut lights

Hazy Maze Cave from Super Mario 64. There are weird light fixtures on the walls that are anachronistic to the setting of the level.

I find this cover interesting. Because it looks like it'd be a genuinely depressing, hopeless album. But then you remember ah well it's Built to Spill they usually keep it kinda light but no this shit does in fact sound really hopeless

Tune in at 8PM EST on December 26th for the annual Super Metroid Christmas* Stream. It falls on Kwanzaa this year because Christmas is on the most annoying day of the week.

Commissioned this from my friend @twosipsofbleach.bsky.social after playing through the game Detective Instinct by @traindetective.bsky.social. tbh it probably wouldn't work between Emma and I. I haven't written a paper about something besides video games in years which she'd likely find childish.

A few years ago during a routine replay of Mega Man X I came up with a new challenge run that I'm ready to share with the world. Introducing: The Norah Jones Challenge. Beat Mega Man X before Norah Jones' debut album "Come Away With Me" concludes.
