I went out to feed the feral kitty we've been looking after for the last few years and saw a lil bee sitting motionless in the entrance to her feeding hut 😟 A teaspoon of sugary water and she was happily tucking in. 15 mins later she flew off! 🐝😊

My old Zappi is just set in fast mode (which makes it a dumb charger) and I control the car. I can't remember what EV you're driving but can you control that instead of the Zappi. Several people I know who control their charger instead of their car has a shit time with it... Not just Zappi either.

The Tesla Gateway does support 3-phase but not for backup as there's no way to bridge the batteries together, they're not all running in phase when the power drops so it's probably not as simple as having load switches to connect them all together.

27kWh of L1 and 13.5kWh on each of L2/L3. Remember I lose those other two phases in an outage so added the 4th battery to L1 to double my power outage backup.

It is a Vaillant Arotherm+ and yes they can be a little optimistic I think but mine is a very optimal setup. Designed for 35C flow temp at -3C outside temp so the high SCoP isn't unexpected. I should get a proper heat meter installed alongside it really to get more accurate figures.

The results are in for our ASHP for 2024. We have a combined SCoP of 4.4 (heating + HW) for the whole year which I am happy with. If we exclude hot water the SCoP is 4.7. I will caveat this with this is built in monitoring. I meant to post this sooner but 2025 has started a bit busier than hoped!

I did create a spreadsheet to estimate the running costs for various different tariffs under various different conditions, with/without battery storage, what size storage, factoring in PV, etc. Unfortunately I can't find it right now... I think I accidentally deleted it... 😭

I've had quite a lot of new followers with completely blank profiles recently. Why would they think they'd get a follow back when they aren't telling me anything about themselves? I even had one which was just a follow back account. No posts just a comment about always following back... 🤦‍♀️
