Set everything up in a bit of an incomplete mockup of the final helmet, but that was a pain in the asssss, double stick tape couldn't make the stuff stick, and museum putty was wierd, but thanks to @jamiesbowen.bsky.social for helping get it stuck together, still a lot to do.

A few steps got lost in adhd so it goes from being drawn on to almost cut out. These are going to go on the face plate, i have to trim it down a lot more, i plan to make a pair of matching black plates, tho the plastic for those is way thinner... I may have to find something else...

I want to put a channel up the top of the helmet so that the visor slides up qnd down. I'm going to need some epoxy/glues & parts that I can't scavenge. It'll have to wait until I havs the $ for those things & take a trip to the art store..

That stupid little oval in the center of the helmet? Took me 3 tries to get a piece of plastic shaped so it fits in the hole. 🤣 the second photo is the parts I intend to make a chin strap/cap out of.

Thanks! I'm working on transitioning my outfit for my performance art from my improvised "Hero suit", to something more deliberate, inspired by Kamen Rider, who started off fighting remnants of the Nazis after he was experimented on by them and turned into a cyborg. Feels appropriate Right now...

Kamen Rider Ichigo from "Kamen Rider The First"reboot movie. The hero is a masked man in leather motorcycle riding gear and specialized armor, his helmet-mask is themed after a grass hopper with big glowing red eyes with the helmet, armor, boots and gloves all being mostly teal green, while the motorcycle leather riding gear is all black. The name Kamen Rider comes from the motorcycle riding aspect of the characters persona and Kamen translates to Mask, so Masked Rider would be the english equivalent. Though the American Saban attempt to adapt Kamen Rider into Masked Rider (Or Mask Ri-Der, as the theme song repeatedly pronounced it...) spectacularly bombed because they took all of the mature elements away and turned it into a transplant of a bad eighties family sitcom, with occasional wierd moments of scifi action elements injected into it.

So I am posting a little late, I wanted to kinda make less work for myself in designing the helmet opening, so we used chalk to mark the back and see what was keeping the two from opening wider, for a more comfortable fit. I spent some time filing and sanding to try for a smoother opening.

I think i finally finished my Altar, tho i usually wear the bracelet and Necklace as parts of a spell, the Shikigami are hung over my altar, but it's hard to get a good angle with em swinging lol went very eclectic using a few inspirations, & stuff i found. Runes on the paper spell love. #witchSky

An altar with chalk drawn in a geometric pattern thought it has worn away a bit with time.Thereis a toy dragon, a glass tiger, a featherstuck into an incense holder of a turtle on a leaf, to represent the four four divine beasts. A bracelet and necklace are laid out on the altar, the braclet has a single circular lapis bead surrounding a hazy translucent white bead, there are eight beads on either side, with knots tied in the red cord between each bead to secure them in place.

The necklace has a single geometric gem stone in the center with beads matching the braclet in trios to put space between a pair of hearts framing the gem like stone, a green jade bead after another trio one each side, and a turquoise bead on each side afterydt another trio of tranlucent hazy beads. a final trio finishes the necklace, strung on a leathet cord.

The bracelet is a bit of a digital reference, since lapis is used in enchanting in minecraft, while the stones are aligned to make symetrical designs evoking something like JoJos bizzarre adventures style of jewelry. The necklace is designed to use a stone resembling something from Sailor Moon.

A pair of folded paper Shikigami, a sort of spirits summoned by onmyoji "Sorcerers" in japanese mythology, to act as messengers and servants. They are a shinto spirit that is made by folding and cutting paper to resemble a person. They are strung together by a red string of waxed cord to resemble a red string of fate. Tho, there are a lot of stories of them being used for curses, these are intended for a positive spell, hung on the network cable over my altar.
