I got bored and started making a game about worms I used it as an opportunity to begin learning how to use (ironically) bones in #Godot to deform a 2d mesh, which is something I hadn't done before. Making it so it will work with any length/width of worm was a fun challenge. #gamedev #indiedev

As a late birthday gift to myself I have taken this week off work to finally make some real progress on my #gamedev project that's been sitting in the idea stage for years now. Day 1 focused on base technical stuff I want out of the way, like the hex grid, pathfinding, and terrain mesh generation.

It is now complete! My fursona is cake! In terms of looks I’m super happy with it. The marbling went great. In terms of taste it’s definitely a bit on the undercooked side. I probably should’ve cooked it in two separate layers and combined them later.

Just got back from #scotiacon. Feeling the blues already. It was possibly the first time in maybe 6 years that my social anxiety has not been deafeningly loud and taken a backseat so I was able to see and experience things I thought I’d never be able to do. Thanks for the good times Scotland : )

Why did two pro-genai accounts called Gabby W- follow me at the same time? Are they bots or did my last post just really resonate with the Gabby W’s? Almost certainly the former but idk. Maybe people called Gabby W are predisposed to love hearing a cat complain about common debugging problems.

I’m pretty happy with these to be honest. I still occasionally play them to this day. I’m pretty sure the first game I got on steam was TF2 but that was free so it’s not shown here. Also not shown here are XCom:EU and Skyrim which I played via family sharing.

It is WAYY too hot today to play videogames so instead I spent the day making a prototype clicker game themed around nuclear fusion. For a 4 hr build I'm pretty happy with it. I've always wanted to find a way to teach more people about the subject so I may develop this further idk. #gamedev #godot

Interestingly, it’s not the only time a train has slammed through the back wall of a station. A similar event occurred just under 5 years later, on Valentines day, in Dublin.

Cooking fresh meals and eating consistently well for the first time in 2 years has really been so good for my health. I don’t cook every day, and lunches are still bread and cheese (I’m a simple man at heart), but when I do make something tasty it is so worth it. Hopefully I keep this habit going.

Turns out moving house is a lot more work that I anticipated so I haven’t got nearly as much gamedev done as I would’ve liked. However I have finally started working on a basic character creator! Next on the agenda is creating a bird (corvid) model 🐦‍⬛

Now I’ve got my own kitchen I have been trying to start cooking proper meals again. (2 years of microwave meals probably hasn’t been great for my health) Unfortunately, I completely forgot the art of portion control and cooked about 3 times more than I can actually eat : (

I chose snep pretty much as soon as I knew what they were because they have a lot of attributes I identify with; shy, curious, like sitting in high places, quiet, cold, but also capable of being little silly sometimes.

Moving to my new home has certainly been a stressful experience but now I have my computer set up again I am a very happy cat : ) There’s still a lot of work left to do on the house. However, enough is sorted now so normal snep antics can resume.

It’s been a while since I got out the house to look at steam trains 🚂. Luckily, I was able to go and see the Flying Scotsman today. It’s not my favourite loco but it’s still a classic.

This is fascinating, and very fun to try! I love writing systems which are part art and where there's ways to play around with the aesthetics of a word or phrase. I had a go scribbling my name and my late pet cat's name : )

Just finished a #rimworld multiplayer game with two friends. Rimworld is already a chaotic experience but playing collaboratively with two other only added to the mayhem. Would recommend! Also there's something about the messy aftermath of the many huge endgame battles that I find really cinematic.

One of Harley’s favourite things to do is to stick her paws under my bedroom door and play with a toy or scrap of paper on the other side. You can’t really hear it in the video but she is purring like an engine.

I’ve seen a lot of people thirsting over hrothgars recently which I believe are a feline race from some game. However every single time I see that word I initially think they’re talking about the greybeards from skyrim.
