The wrong 80-year-old died today.

I mean, he gets tomorrow's newspaper today...who wouldn't be interested in someone like that? 😜

If anyone needs a #katbarrell Photo Op or Autograph Saturday afternoon (B2) at @earpfest.bsky.social, I seem to have bought an extra... 😳🤠 #earpfest

ICE fatally shot a man in Houston yesterday. Agents arrested a nun on her way to mass. An Afghan who helped the U.S. military died in ICE detention, one of at least 21 people to die in detention this year. The headlines have moved on, but Trump is still waging his reign of terror.

Bulgaria's Bangaranga (by Dara) was my pick, so I am very glad that was the winner. I don't think I have felt this strongly for a #Eurovision result since Loreen won for the first time back in 2012. Listening to Dara talk, I get the feeling that she and Loreen are birds of a feather as well. 😂

I was going to be so annoyed with #Eurovision if Israel won... I mean, I get that we shouldn't blame all of Israel for their government's actions - and not like USA has any room to talk in that regard - but still, almost felt like awarding bad behavior.

3. Audio played from the phone has a definite "cheap Bluetooth speaker" sharpness to it. I have yet to try playing with the EQ to see if that can be fixed. 4. AI Everything. I know, it's supposed to be a selling point for the phone, but for me it was nearly the opposite. #SamsungS26Ultra

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 18/03/2026

Other negatives with the #Samsung #S26Ultra I've seen: 1. Camera bumps are way larger than pictures do justice. Laying the phone on its back is dangerous without a good case/lens protection. 2. Still sad they nixed the air gestures in the S Pen. Using that to snap a remote photo was a cool feature.

Got my new #Samsung S26 Ultra yesterday and am starting my migration from my S23 Ultra... Awaiting my new phone case which arrives today. Definitely a few negatives with the new phone, but the first is just how unpleasant it is to hold without a case on it. Gone are the curved screens of yore! 😂

It would have been easy for the regime to pretend this was a terrible accident & that one ICE officer was excessive & will be disciplined — then continue their reign of misogynist, bigoted terror anyway. But they’re too revved up & thin-skinned to admit even ONE wrong. Literal toddlers. With guns.

Hegseth & his henchmen seem to regard this as a videogame where they get points for each target they hit. These aren't human beings to them. (Not to mention we aren't even in an armed conflict. We're just killing people in international waters. Just so many layers of horrifying wrongness.)

Just watched the new #StarTrek #strangenewworlds episodes on #ParamountPlus & the latest #Revival episode on #Peacock, & both shows feature @melaniescrofano.bsky.social laid out on a medical bed fighting for her life. She plays "on death's door" very well! 😂 She also dresses up nice for a wedding. 😏

No, but I used BlueArk to transfer at least most of my posts here as "archives". Haven't yet pulled the trigger on deleting my profile yet either though I really ought to.

And so it begins...again. Really not looking forward to the daily anger-inducing doomscrolling as every day this country/world gets more and more wrecked by this self-serving dictator wannabe and the rest of his loyalist cult.

Kind of a surreal feeling to be watching "The Man From Toronto" with my mom this evening, but to be able to say "I've sang karaoke with her..." when watching @katedrummond.bsky.social be all serious and cop-like -which seems to be a speciality of hers- at least in this one her head didn't explode. 😂

I really don't want to have to write a complex remediation script to set all the Firefox policies - and anything else not already available in Settings Catalog - so I really hope I am just misunderstanding the announcement. 🤞

000

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Not to mention 3rd party. One of the major ones we are using admx for at the moment is Firefox, but I'm sure that's not all we'll be needing in order to move all policy into Intune. 3/4

100

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

but now it seems that the feature is getting removed entirely, unless I am misunderstanding what the announcement means? If so, that's going to make it much more difficult to transition from GPOs/hybrid when not even all MS admx items are covered in Settings Catalog ...2/4

Just looked it up again and I guess it was 2023 originally, then this year, but still no official launch date announced. 😢

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

Think that's scheduled for next year last I heard... Though there's not been any advertisement so who knows.

Hello Nancy 🤠 Would normally ask how you've been, but I think most of the Earp family feels like we just got kicked by a mule (or knocked back down a deep well we've fought for so long to escape from and thought there was no chance we'd go back to), so probably a silly question.

I just used the Sky Bridge Extension to follow a bunch of folks I followed on X... With a few false positives, but easy enough to sort through. 😂

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

With the X exodus going on and with this platform is having more folks join, I figure I should start spending more time here as well. My primary platforms have been IG and Threads lately, but only because more people I know were there.

Just had this, which I captured 9 years ago for the #BringBackDefiance Twibbon campaign, pop up on my "On this day" feed. Now I may just need to pop in a #Defiance Blu-ray and do an uncharacteristic rewatch.

000

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 14/09/2024

Thought this upon seeing the trailer for #WynonnaEarp #Vengeance, and still do after seeing it: This was my least favorite in terms of haberdashery. 😂🤠 Something about the square-fronted Stetsons just felt off, like they didn't suit the heads they adorned. All except Nedley...

000

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 14/09/2024

It's interesting how in #WynonnaEarp #Vengeance they said "oh, you know these two seemingly unkillable highly beloved characters? Turns out that they are not going to be cheating death on this hand, skilled as they may be at the game."

000

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 14/09/2024

I guess all we can do is hope that the fine folks at @tubi will greenlight some more #WynonnaEarp adventures, as to end it with #Vengeance is just too depressing to even consider.

000

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 14/09/2024

I guess that just means I will need to re-watch #WynonnaEarp #Vengeance, as I guarantee there was a lot I missed. Not entirely sure my constitution is up to the task right away though. That was a lot of pain. Definitely not OK with that being the last #Earp we have on screen...

100

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 14/09/2024

I didn't even try to livetweet with the #WynonnaEarp #Vengeance watch party... Everything was moving so quick, tweet distractions would have made it impossible to follow. I almost never do, but for this I felt like I should have turned on subtitles to catch the rapid-fire banter.

Seriously debating taking a walk from the #EDE2024 venue to the American side of the falls seeing as how I have to kill time 'til the Earp Museum event I wore/brought my auction purchases for today here at @earpdivisionexpo. I'm just not sure about going in full Doc Holliday 🤠

Yay, I'm finally here... Now to rebuild my 'following' lists. I don't know that there's a easy way to find/migrate over from other sources, so I guess I will just find stuff slowly.

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 21/09/2023

I felt similar with Amazon Music dropping the ability to upload ripped CDs to your Cloud Library years back. Since getting burned with that I haven't tried any other similar solutions and my CDs just continue to reside in their various stacks/piles hoping to one day be listened to again. 😊

So in other words, if anyone has a spare code, I would love to get one... Via DM. 😂

Ryan E. @techgeekre.bsky.social · 20/09/2023

Tried to use a code shared by someone on here for the Cerulean-hued high-above-ground locale, shared as a reply, but was not seen as valid when attempting to use. Wondering if that's management here screwing with folks trying to bail, or if bots are actively scraping for codes.
