There's no way they're going to let us keep these new tools for decompilation, reverse engineering and exploit engineering tools, are they? Someone is going to shit a kitten when there's video of Tears of the Kingdom running on an Xbox series X and I bet lawyers get involved very quickly loool

Okay Blueskis I'm sure I'm a bit behind the world right now but if you have the m-vave fm-1 you probably want the Baud Girl firmware. It's basically a straight upgrade that adds a virtual analogue engine for acid/trance/chiptune, improves the sequencer and a whole lot more and looks pretty!

Strangely yes, I think being able to follow and appreciate what makes for good sounding music helps too especially when it's surprisingly applied

Moment of self awareness that I'm that sandwich board guy except with less commitment to the bit

I'm pretty sure the next logical step will be to put everyone entirely in this sort-of prison with resources tightly controlled We are really here to decide if we are to be a responsible species or not

I don't know how I feel about possibly losing my hearing.. losing any of my abilities is scary, not the sort of thing you worry about during daylight hours :(

Being blind scares me so much because you do more than see with your eyes.

Though I'm the weirdo who thinks that microcontrollers need a hobby os similar in operation to cp/m available for hobbyists to build their own computers lol

000

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 03/10/2026

Like maybe if you had a bunch of your own compute already and also developed an operating system Hnmmmmmmmm

000

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 03/10/2026

Frankly and I think you really have to be ready for this, when companies give in to temptation and let a code language model dig weird cruft out of source trees and somehow manage to use the result we might see an era of optimization I wish I were kidding

Honestly after playing with the novation circuit it is very tempting to sell whatever it takes to get a modern one

Weird thought that the original definition between "good" and "evil" might have had to do with how much forethought someone has Like how murder by passion is a sin but murder by official decree is a-ok Sorry I'm reading again lol

Wait why is there a web site holy crap a website in 1996?? That's pretty early doooood Like yeah of course some companies had them but InterACT come onnnnnnnnn I know it's seems weird a computer hardware company wouldn't have a web address, that how it waaaaas or you went to their AOL area

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 14/09/2026

Alright who in the world buys this and keeps it in the box for 30 years unused except for having cut out the barcode for whatever rebate was being offered

Like IDK I think waking up early to watch Turbo Teen and Pole Position DOES something important and horrific to a person that you just don't get from cartoon Network existing

Honestly I wonder a lot if my autistic sheltered "not a human" arse should be attempting to talk about any 80s culture from the cracked lens I've always looked through lol

110

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 06/09/2026

Do you think someday someone will make 2 girls 1 cup part of their edgy counterculture comedy I feel like we've done this already hmmm

You must understand it was a very irony based culture

Heeeelp I just realized that there's like one aesthetic that describes a decade and that's usually what you see at the costume shops. Hippies, disco, new wave, grunge Are weebs coming We will see Spirit costume-grade cat ear headphones some day, mark my words.

It's a chill puzzle game that's an evolution of something like The Incredible Machine + maaaaagic. The design is cute and charming! One of the puzzles has/had physics that breaks in VirtualBox which to me sounds like a really weird bug, it might be connected in the 1.1 version, I'll have to see!

130

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 03/09/2026

Ooh, it does start in Windows 11! I need to test Wine/Proton. Maaaaaybe I can even get far enough to test the physics bug!

010

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 03/09/2026

It is an extremely weird bug that one is the developers described to me as "Virtual machines break determinism." Girl that's me every day lol

010

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 03/09/2026

Holy crap I'm late to this; was going through the "death screen" generator website and one of my friends' games is in there, woot! Deerbell Games' Witchy Workshop, which probably counts as retro now and I remember it wouldn't run correctly in a virtual machine deathgenerator.com#ww

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 02/09/2026

I'm really nervous about VCF! I'd like to hang out with nerdy peeps when I go. I don't know anyone directly though, somehow. I've written off KnobCon because of money which sucks but eh. It feels rude to wish I could hang out with various cool people tho I sort of want to just hide

100

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 02/09/2026

You can tell when I'm not sleeping and doing baaaaaadly when I try to convince a friend her favorite fetish is, essentially, fascism just with a fantasy state that actually cares about you I have no idea why I felt like dying on that hill, welp Perhaps feeling like a parasite on society lollllll

Super Real Mahjong PV Paradise didn't pass the checksum check but was recognized and dumped and will play so... That could be a variant? The pins are clean I swear lol

010

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 01/09/2026

This might be a bug report.. the silkscreen says the ROM is 512k, Payback logs it as 8MB, then complains 0KB received from the SN Operator. I guess I should probably tell Epilogue lol I'm afraid they'll make me test the board though (which I REALLY should), BUT the SNES is in storage

010

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 01/09/2026

Attack of the PETSCII Robots didn't copy for some odd reason and that's like the only one I **only** have a physical copy of so far, hm I have a stack of Sufami games now to do

010

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 01/09/2026

What if women in fighting games were partially the result of a market created by closeted trans women in the 80s and 90s I mean Chun Li and Shiranui Mai Main here lol draw what conclusions you will! Also Darkstalkers!!!! I know you can do it, Capcom! Make something to compete with Strive! Waitwha

000

Dorknerd Succubus 🤪🏳️‍⚧️ @techcubus.monster · 01/09/2026

I forgot this thing was coming, the SN Operator! I will now dump all my super Nintendo games and no one can stop me! And the next time I'm playing SNES Mario Kart in public and someone asks if that's my copy of the game I can confidently say "YES OFFICER in strangely tight shorts!"

Also backup save backups. The super Nintendo cartridge "Chrono Trigger" attached to a device to extract the save data for use with emulators.
