Vacation Day 2: Success. We're home from Austin. We hit Central Market first and bought some things. Went into Blue Elephant (found three stickers), and then while Kathy waited in the car, I ran into Paper place. Ate lunch at Maudie's then finished the day at Nature's Treasures. Bought lottery. 💚

Whatever allergy or cold attacked me last Thursday night and dragged on until Saturday, I managed to beat it with the magic of sleep. 3 hour nap on Saturday after work followed by spicy leftover Hunan Lion followed by probably 10+ hours into Sunday did the trick & I feel oodles better.

Okay. New Adulting Boss Witch duty today. Letting the vet tech who didn't give her 2 weeks go today instead of letting her rudeness stick around for several days being as useless as she usually is. The anxiety is strong, but I did it, I survived it, and now that's another new thing under my belt.

It should be legal for me to break the kneecaps of vet techs who quit without giving two weeks notice and act like they'll be irreplaceable. Granted, this does leave me more work to try and find more vet techs, but this one was a useless piece of fluff (the one I had to do the write-up for).

Oh I also wrote up a client waiver today for all three clinics where if a client insists on or really is a calming influence while restraining their own pet, they still sign this waiver that can then go on their profile so that it legally protects the clinic if their dog/cat bites/scratches them.

I started to lead the staff meeting today at work while Sharon finished up something in Doc's office. It was a little intimidating, but this is something I'll need to get used to doing on the instances that the PM might have to be out for health reasons. Fun stuff - me, a Lokean, leading meetings.
