As a 3rd gen Inktoling, Marie deals with a variety of health issues broadly categorized under Inherited Inktoling Genetic Disorder, or I2GD. Marie can be easily fatigued/exhausted, and experiences respiratory problems which usually require the use of an inhaler to stabilize.

Adding to the last point, Marie has odd feelings about the situation with the NSS, as Marie is a member of the Kensaki family by /blood/, being a 3rd generation Inktoling. She has faint claws, and a thinner eye mask around the center she still occasionally accentuates with makeup.

Contrary to English dialogue, my Marie is not outwardly hostile and hateful to Octarians in any malicious way. Simply put, her time in the NSS and the incident with Callie led to her being concerned and alone in Agent 3 and Cuttlefish's absence. TLDR: My Marie isn't racist.

Alongside Callie, Marie was scouted by Shy-Ho-Shy, who served as their original music producer. Marie treats Shy like family, and keeps in contact often. She walks around rather casually in Inkopolis, even with her and Callie taking on their Idol work again. Also does podcasts.
