Sexual assault is a wound that never completely heals. Sometimes you forget it's there and then you are starkly reminded that you live with it, and you will live with it until the day you die. It changes you. It makes you afraid. It hardens you in ways you should not have to be hard.

I know what I just shared is a total bummer but be assured that I have overcome many hindrances left by the trauma and pain inflicted on me. I received four years of intensive one-on-one and group therapy. I overcame my agorophobia and graduated college 💓 I've been teaching for six years now ✌️

It was years later when I was shown by one of Wesley's exes that he had posted a picture of himself at the shooting range "to destress" an hour after I confronted him about knowing he was in a relationship and blocking him. He posted this on his private twitter account:

I also have to reveal that there was a time when Wesley pointed a gun at me "as a joke." I was taken aback and laughed it off hoping I had given him the reaction he wanted for him to put it away. It wasn't until I was in my uni's Victim Empowerment Program when I learned that was domestic violence.

I was still bleeding out when I learned that Wesley was going steady with two other people. This only made me feel worse. He knew I was a virgin and he willingly jeopardized our health by failing to inform us he had multiple sexual partners.

and I was able to focus on terminating my pregnancy which was it's own traumatic experience. I recieved a lot of racism, sexism and xenophobia while trying to recieve medical care. I was too ashamed to ask for help from my friends. Everything was awful.
