Having a playgroup who have gotten super invested in our shared WoD setting is super cool! It's even cooler since some of the players stepped up to host their own prequel Hunter prequel chronicles and an upcoming Vampire chronicle, all set in the same timeline! MY GROUP IS AWESOME AND I LOVE THEM!

Tldr, having superpowers does not immediately make a character evil. Seeing real and fictional people with power do good things and be kind is cool, actually. Power is a general concept of influence and the ability to change your surroundings. You cannot do good things without some kind of power.

Some poorly-written superhero stories may try to portray superpowers as inherently corruptive, but many comics with that premise still portray that as a bad thing! Even crass gorefests like The Boys explicitly shoe those "superheroes" are villains, not the genuine ideal of a true hero with power.

I am not disagreeing with the idea that real fascists use power and benefitting from powerful systems as an excuse to be dickheads, but generalizing that into "superheroes with powers are elitist and always support fascists" is reductive and counter-intuitive. Superman fought the Klan for a reason.

I can understand that some superhero media treat power as an ideal, but many superhero stories deal with how individuals use their powers for good and maintain their morality in spite of the power they have. In a good story, a fascist superhero who flaunts their powers is just a supervillain.

I hate that my YouTube algorithm REFUSES to show me new creators. I do not mind seeking new channels by hand when I want to learn something new, but I wish there were more ways to say "I don't need to be recommended what I already watched". We deserve more control of our own feeds.
