Every day in every way, Unreal finds new ways to test us.

An unreal blueprint graph to show how broken pure functions are. The string split function returns 3 values, which are immediately being stored in variables. The tooltip for this node suggests that you should test the bool value before reading one of the other string values.

A test "pure" blueprint function that does nothing but print a debug string to the output every time the node is called.

Console output from the pure function. It is being called 3 times because there are 3 outputs on the string split nodes. Each time an output is read, it causes string split to run all over again, querying its inputs and calling our test pure function.

Wizard nebula processed. About 3.5 hours of data with the Seestar. I'm getting punchier colours now and trying hard not to oversaturate or clip, but I need to work on making them feel more natural. That's it for this one, though. #astrophotography
