We had a great morning yesterday raising money for MacMillan cancer support with a bake sale and coffee morning. We loved eating cake, socialising and welcoming all our visitors - families and friends. We raised an impressive £445! Thank you to everyone who baked, came along and/or donated.

Our P6-S1 pupils had a great day out at the Outdoor Learning Challenge yesterday. They toasted marshmallows on a fire, investigated volcanic rock and created some beautiful nature art.

We celebrated our S6 leavers yesterday at their graduation ceremony. An emotional and also joyful occasion. We will miss these amazing young people so much but we are also so proud of the wonderful young adults that they have become.

The end of term is great! Parties, trips out and on Monday this week, a brilliant live concert from the Youth Music Initiative. Everyone loved it, we were up on our feet dancing and singing along to some classic favourites. We even got to try out the instruments.

It’s been an exciting week for the DofE pupils. They’ve been out investigating the accessibility of our coastal areas. Yesterday’s highlight, a speed boat under the Forth bridges. They even let us have a go at driving (sailing)!

Pine class had a fab end of term class trip earlier this week to the Five Sisters Zoo in West Lothian. There were so many interesting animals to see. Everyone would love to go again.

Outdoor Learning Week got off to a great start today. Beech class were engaging in some hilarious animal antics over on the secondary side while Holly class were excelling at the Velcro football in the primary playground. Every class was outside today having a great time.

Some of our secondary Duke of Edinburgh pupils started their volunteering yesterday by mentoring a primary class for PE. It was pretty cold and wet, but they persevered and set up a series of circuits for Maple class to complete. It was brief but fun. Roll on summer so we can stay out for longer!

We were very excited to have the chance to go and watch the GB and Poland ice hockey teams training at Murrayfield today ahead of their tournament this weekend. It was fast paced and exciting and we got to meet the players in person!
