iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Hah, yeah. Scattershot when I post it, but yes.

Oh, good! Glad to help! I don't know of any guides but Google forms itself is pretty straight forward, very customizable to the kind of questions/info you need. Easy to test, too. For commissions, I'd recommend including your ToS with a little checkbox "I've read the Terms of Service" on the form.

Quick (and cropped) phone pics of some adult pieces I've been working on. The bull is done and the coyote is getting there. It's funny, I've been really productive lately, but posting online feels like pulling teeth. I'm considering a separate (free to join) 18+ Patreon to toss stuff to.

I think what you may want/like is a common method in the art commission scene, which is a submission form + email. You post the submission link and people fill out the form, you get an email, you peruse/send invoice(s). Google has simple submission forms (but there are other options if you want.)

Maybe there is more complexity. In the US copyright system, if you do not push back against any infringement on your work when you see it, someone (later) could argue you have abandoned your claim of copyright (using past examples where you knew but did not object) & then use/resell your work.

Nah-- taking WIPs is a part of the process so they don't really add a significant amount of time, and the side comics I work on between volumes (if I have one I want to do.)

(sorry to repost, forgot alt text!) Also, I really love painting clouds so this was super fun! I wish I had made a time lapse but I got really into the groove-- I had sat down to start working, intending to just rough it out, and ended up doing the whole sky in one sitting.

I had the pleasure of doing a wrap-around cover for The Sky Pirate's Prisoner by John R Robey (@gneech.com) for FurPlanet (@furplanet.com) earlier this summer! Here's the full wrap around and the titled version. I've read it and recommend it if you're looking for a sapphic adventure with airships!

Two anthropomorphic felines standing on the rail of an airship with a sunset sky behind them, dragon riders far in the distance.

My neighbor is who told me about it—she was irritable (to the point it was causing relationship friction), lethargic, not sleeping. Doc tested and nows she’s on HRT and says she feels like she’s in her mid 20s again, sleeping normally, balanced mood etc. Might be worth the test to rule it out!

Just gonna toss this out but have you considered it's perimenopause? I'm dealing something similar, going from never having problems *staying* asleep to now I wake up every hour. Could also just be heat/stress but I recently learned perimenopause symptoms can start in your mid 30s(!)

As it's currently scripted, it's going to be 4 volumes and probably around 550 pages. Volume 1 was designed to be stand alone-- when I started up again in 2017 I did so with the full first volume written/outlined. Vol 2-4 I outlined when I was wrapping up V1 after deciding I'd keep going.

120

Had I the means, I would just disappear for a year and reappear with a finished book.

Also, I suppose we can split hairs on comic terminology, too--Oren's Forge is (and was always intended to be) a graphic novel and ideally read in one setting, not a webcomic per say (which I feel are often written with shorter story arcs). The necessity of audience building is why I post weekly.

1130

I'm sure there is a wide array of the way solo comics come together, so my experience is just one. Tbh, I prefer writing so the art always feels like a formality/perfunctory. Doesn't mean I dislike it but it is the 'day job' portion. (I went to college for animation so endless plodding feels normal)

Teagan Gavet @teagan.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

I have the whole story outlined and most scenes written before I start any art. I will edit dialogue on the fly, or interject a scene if I feel like it's warranted-- but I absolutely hate redoing "finished" art so I will do everything I can to make sure what goes on the page is the final intention.

1311

Awesome to hear that! Glad you liked it! :]

This is on my mind a lot. Kids benefit from a safe way to experience sadness, loss or fear because life is inevitably full of it. They need guided chances to process, ask questions, see cause/effect without having to live it. It leads to healthier adults with more tools in their emotional toolbox.

Yeah! You'd be like, "huh, let me check out this song and vibe-check that my friend is okay-- oh wait it slaps. Thanks friend for the new music, friend!"
