Brilliant book for year 9 upwards, fabulous protagonist with themes of family, identity, social class colonialism and friendship. Also, really complements the A level English language course with relationships to language, code-switching and creole. A great read! 000

TeachEngEasy @teachengeasy.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Free writes are such a good way to kick off creative writing: word roulette- students write 3 words on 3 post its, every 30s the teacher chooses one + students have to work it into their writing; scents in cups- a bit of cinnamon or ginger for the festive season can be a great sensory prompt! 000
