I do this with a bluetooth controller, but if you have a long enough HDMI cable, you can also try using the Steam Deck as your controller and reinvent the concept of a WiiU (but wired) in the process

Emulating 3DS games is always awkward (unless you have two monitors or a dual screen handheld (duh) I guess). But what I do is hook up my Steam Deck to a monitor, set it up under it. So I use the monitor as the top display and the Steam Deck as the bottom screen

It's kinda annoying me that I can't figure out where this is. It's an abandoned, unfinished building and presumably a Maelstrom hideout. So you'd think it's somewhere in Northside, but I can't remember any buildings like that there. It's giving more Pacifica/Dogtown vibes

The character thing was really easy though "A lot of this could be redundant, but it works and I'm too scared to touch anything" perfectly sums up how I feel about this.

I also made it so you can input the characters used for the scrolling animation and change the its length. The dynamic length thing turned out to be way more annoying than I thought it would be. To be honest, I'm not sure why it started working, but the important part is that it works.

I'm learning js, so I thought this would be a neat excecise. You have no idea how long this ended up taking me, and honestly at this point neither do I. I had to scrap half of the code like 5 times. When everything was supposed to work, it didn't. When it finally did work, I had no idea why.
