Bluetooth adds latency anyway so I would recommend using headphones with cables for cutting and mixing anything. Check out some recommendations and find a pair you like and it will increase your podcast game a lot.

There might be different reasons for this, I would suggest to take a look at dropout protection and buffer size (increase both) for a smoother editing experience. CPU usage might be caused by a rogue third party plugin that’s not yet Sonoma compatible. So check for those as well.
