Another famous European night at the Aspmyra Stadion. History for Bodø/Glimt as they reach the Europa League last 16. Two goals in extra time for 5-2 on the night and 6-4 on aggregate over FC Twente.

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

What an insane end to Bodø/Glint v FC Twente! Three goals in added time. 3-2 on the night. 4-4 on aggregate. Onto extra time. 😅

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 14/02/2025

FC Magdeburg finally win a home league game at the 11th time of asking. 3-0 against 2. Bundesliga leaders FC Köln too.

Last night was the first time in 11 years that Chelsea came back to win a game at Stamford Bridge after trailing at halftime. Here’s the starting XI the last time that happened: Chelsea 3-1 Southampton, 1/12/2013.

Kiera Walsh to Chelsea 👀

One win in nine games. Four defeats in a row. Surely that’s the end of Nuri Sahin at Borussia Dortmund?

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

All of the “elite” squad building from the Chelsea board and they've ended the game tonight with a CB at RB, a RB at LB, a LB at RCM, a youth academy LW at RW, and a youth loan recall they were desperate to get rid of as their best CB.

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Sahin’s time has got to be up soon. Surely?

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Donyell Malen to Aston Villa is an interesting move. Could be a bargain at £20 million, but he has been a shell of himself for Dortmund this season (created only one chance). Will need to step up his game massively to make an impact in the Premier League.

I'm beating a dead horse here, but removing replays from the FA Cup is the most blatant bending to the big teams in English football history. Tamworth robbed of millions, their fans of a huge day out, and their players of the chance to play in a huge stadium. Hate it.

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

The most embarrassingly drawn-out saga finally ends with West Ham sacking Julen Lopetegui. Although he didn’t do a great job, West Ham's treatment of him this week has been nothing short of a disgrace.

Tom Desborough @tdesb.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

It’s as simple as being back near the top of the table. The majority of fans won’t look any deeper than that.

A staple feature for marathon training this year. Got me through several pain caves. Still not over the Eurovision robbery. My 🐐 Joost Klein. 🇳🇱

The Tim Walter x Hull City relationship ends after 17 games. Replacing Liam Rosenior would always be challenging, but anyone who has watched his HSV team won’t be surprised that it has ended this quickly.

Given some of the reactions to the news from Sam Kerr and Kristie Mewis, I wanted to bring something back to the tl. I'll always speak up for equality and it was a pleasure to be the voice of this for Chelsea 🗣 I'll always be an ally 👊🏿 (Part 1)

There will be places with multiple screens that are willing to show them. However, your options will be limited if the games clash with English games.

Football in Ghana has been poor for a while. But today is their darkest day as they fail to qualify for AFCON. AFCON 2021 - Group stage exit AFCON 2023 - Group stage exit AFCON 2025 - fail to qualify

100%. There is nothing to entice fans to arrive early—such a shame as it’s such a great part of the German football experience.
