Nah, I never have conversations like that, where I say AI said this or that, as if it were god on high stating a decree. My work is in the tech world. LLMs are a tool, nothing more. Use them wisely or not. Unfortunately, many people don't have the critical thinking skills to properly discern bs.

One has to start somewhere to have informed thoughts and ideas. Back in the day, I would start with an encyclopedia, then a trip to the library if I wanted a deep dive. Now, it's a quick llm query to get the lay of the land on a subject, then do the deep dive with credible sources.

That would be fun! I don't know about you, but now days my journey to deeper understanding *starts* with an llm query. It doesn't end there. I've seen them hallucinate too many times. Perhaps it would have been better to ask Tom for scholarly sources discussing the issue in question.
