We go back 65 million years to celebrate our September Movie of the Month, as we talk dinosaurs. Well... sort of. We watched the 1961 King Kong and Godzilla ripoff, Gorgo.  Join us as we talk the rubber monsters, the lack of interesting characters, and how unwilling we would be to enter the movie's submersible.  If you want to help us choose our next Movie of the Month, join us over at our Discord by subscribing for $1 at https://patreon.com/TCTAMPod

We're headed to Tromaville this week with a cultural-appropriating police detective, as we watch Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD.  Join us as we discuss the jokes, the transformations, and the villain's performance.

With one less host this week, we decide to keep it simple and talk a short film, one of which is mostly singing and dancing. Mark and Anthony discuss Michael Jackson's Ghosts.  Join us as we discuss Michael Jackson as a talent and as a complicated figure, Mos Def, and discuss whether MJ's dance moves were always so vulgar.

It's the end of August, which means it's time for our August Movie of the Month, as voted on by our Patreon subscribers.  With Dan out this week, we decided to watch a sword and sandals movie, at our winning pick was The Sword and the Sorcerer, directed by Albert Pyun.  Join us as we have very differing opinions of it, as we discuss Richard Moll's performance as Xusia, how this compares to other films in the genre, and the relationship between the lead and his love interest.  Want to help us decide our next Movie of the Month, go to https://patreon.com/TCTAMPod and subscribe for just a dollar.

We go globetrotting with Larry the Cable Guy and special guest Alex Pearlman (https://open.spotify.com/show/3ALVuGktkV75ukK288Oi3Y | https://open.spotify.com/show/0T8elvFq06hxq9PUhCD54n) to discuss the 2011 Pixar film, Cars 2.  Join us as we discuss the departure the film takes from the original film, the Cars Universe lore, and our thoughts about Larry the Cable Guy.  Check out Alex Pearlman on the https://crashingouttour.com/ and on all socials https://linktr.ee/pearlmania500

ALT: Joe Dirt: Life's a Garden, Dig It

This week, we're on a ride along with a couple of cops. A couple of dead cops, to be exact. This week, we're watching the 1988 supernatural buddy cop film, Dead Heat.  Join us as we discuss Joe Piscopo's career, the pretty solid action sequences, and the terrible one-liners.

We head to Santa Flan with Alex Winter and the girl from Encino Man, as we watch the Gen-X oddball comedy, Freaked.  Join us as we discuss the 90s MTV aesthetic, the impressive cast, and dissect which jokes work and which ones don't.

We celebrate Shark Week this week with one of the most infamous moments in sitcom history. We're watching Fonzie jump the shark in a three-part episode of Happy Days for our Movie of the Month, as voted on by our Patreon members.  Join us as we discuss Fonzie never taking his jacket off, the fact that the show ran for four more seasons, and the experience of watching this on Pluto TV.  Want to join in the fun and help us vote for our next Movie of the Month? Subscribe to our Patreon at https://Patreon.com/TCTAMPod

We're hitting Hollywood Boulevard with the stunt double for Tom Mix, as we watch 1980s cult hit, Angel.  Join us as we discuss how much this movie resembles Maxxxine, the cast of characters, and that egg drinking scene.

We're practicing our lefts and rights, as we follow Stone Cold Steve Austin and Walton Goggins into the world of gimmicky underground street fights, as we watch the direct-to-video Damage on this week's episode.  Join us as we discuss Walton Goggins being too good for this movie, Steve Austin's sleepy performance, and the logistics of trying to earn the kind of money at stake by fighting in underground street fights.

We dip into the world of student films this week, with perhaps one of the most infamous. Nearly lost due to copyright lawsuits, we watched Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story, made by director Todd Haynes when he was a film student.  Join us as we discuss the use of Barbies to tell the story, the low quality transfers, and how the film tackles the subject matter.
