This was a fun exercise narrowing it down to 9. But I honestly couldn’t think of a collection which more perfectly encapsulates my gaming life.

Cover of 9 video games: Pokemon, Goldeneye, Champ Manager 3, Baldurs Gate 2, KOTOR, LOTRO, Halo 3, Valheim and Project Zomboid.

Over on the DiceCord @cybersten.bsky.social has suggested a ‘Carry On Cthulhu’ actual play and now I’m actual obsessed with it as an idea.

A man pulls a comically shocked face. Below is the text ‘Oooh Cthulhu!’

The family are absolutely overwhelmed with the response to their playing their first TTRPG. They don’t understand why anyone would care about what they do on Christmas Day, but they’re definitely enjoying all the attention. So here’s a photo for their ‘adoring fans.’ 🙄

Four people (Mama P, Issy P, Chris from North London and Tom Patrick), all smiling at the camera with a Christmas Tree behind.

Later today I intend to run a TTRPG for my 70-year-old parents. Their first in fact. It’s never too late to try new things.

The War Between the Land and Sea with a pretty decent opening episode. Tonally it’s a bit of a mess. But a fun mess. Much better than the last series of Who.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Salt (Sea Devil) stood between two flanking Sea Devils. They look pretty badass to be fair.

Is there such a thing as an X-Com style TTRPG (preferably rules light) where the players are a squad sent to gather resources, research/capture/engineer and fight an alien menace? If not, can someone make one please. Thank you.

I need help finding an obscure kids tv show from my youth. This is all I remember: 1. Live action (not animated) 2. Sci-Fi vibes (possibly educational) 3. Sci-fi outfits and maybe miniature people who investigate plants. 4. 80s (maybe 70s repeat). 5. Images like this trigger the memory.
