If Susan Collins really wanted to stand up for Mainers, she’d have said no to confirming Trump’s cabinet. No to a war with Iran. No to $70 billion for ICE. No to tax breaks for billionaires. Mainers see the difference between concern and action. And they’re damn tired of the concern.

With all due respect to Senator Graham, the public service falls flat. US Senators live a good life with perks, benefits and soft income streams far beyond 90% of Americans. A social worker, teacher, police officer, courthouse clerk, probation officer etc. are true examples of public servants.

Agree! In any business, you need to define your current state and a strategy to get to a higher level. Newcastle forcing players to stay is not a good strategy on many levels. Bournemouth, Brighton, Forest (maybe), Brentford etc. have a better strategy.
