Couldn’t really ask for better views, the juvenile Baird's Sandpiper showed very well yesterday in the afternoon light. Laying in goose droppings was worth it. More photos to come, who needs a Needletail anyway...

Trip down to Somerset with the returning drake Baikal Teal at Greylake being the highlight, on both visits today it just slept despite the constant presence of a Merlin. Elsewhere this Glossy Ibis was unexpected with a flock of Cattle Egrets.
