Not sure I understand the backlash. He is asking about topics that SDOT doesn’t know about. About roundabouts and traffic calming that they can’t answer to. I for one would like more traffic calming in residential areas. And I’m pretty happy he is bringing it up and not letting it get swept under.

Finally after 3 routes, 2 phone trees and what seemed like an interrogation, the report is submitted. Probably nothing will happen. Probably will get a call from a cop at 11pm tonight saying “the car isn’t here!!!1!1” Probably a total waste of time. Happy disability awareness month i guess.

I had a very similar incident happen to me in Seattle a few weeks ago, by a driver actively working for a local company, Applied Professional Services. Despite video evidence to SPD and to the company, nothing came of it. It seems drivers enjoy a much higher burden of proof than the rest of us.

This exact problem leads to road rage and assault on people using neighborhood Safe Streets for rolling or walking. Literally one modal filter to make any of these streets a dead end will fix this overnight.
